Brown tabby cat June basks in a sunbeam while plotting mischief and mayhem.
You mean like this? (Just before pushing one of her siblings off their current perch.)
Cloud City
Tabby cat June is now stretched out on the bed and purring so softly that I’m loathe to disturb her slumber by climbing in, lol.
A Siamese and a tabby cat lie side by side; each playing with their own multi level ball track toy.
So entertaining, so worth it.
Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.
Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!
🌕 💛
Adam Nimoy post on X: Two crews. The same dream. Dad would have loved every second of this past week. He believed in what space exploration said about humanity: that our best instinct is to go further, together. Safe travels home, Artemis II crew. LLAP Photos of Artemis II crew and of Star Trek TOS crew.
My dad would also have loved watching the Artemis II mission this week. He was an Air Force engineer working with NASA on the moon program, as well as a Star Trek fan. Today, I toast my father, the Artemis crew, and wish for a safe reentry and splashdown this evening. LLAP 🖖
They went where no one has gone before, and gave us hope in 2026. #artemisii
This is such a good idea. We should do this in NYC.
"All Chicago Public Schools students now have access to nearly everything the city’s libraries have to offer — including physical items like books as well as extensive digital resources."

A teal-eyed Siamese with white chest, white beauty spot, and magnificent white whiskers lounges on a pile of blankets and stares soulfully at his human.

Great color choice for my birthday!

Le Championnat Manie Musicale 2026
L’année 2026 ètait sensationnelle pour la Manie Musicale
Avez-vous bien choisi la chanson gagnante?
Le duel final (Collage of images representing the final round between artists Maheva and Boulevard des Airs)
I’m not going to post any spoilers here, but want to commend the French teachers who put together this year’s fabulous Manie Musicale competition, or contributed activities. Chapeau! (not in the final round, lol) Students were super engaged. #FrenchTeachers #ManieMusicale2026
Bravo, Jeremy Hansen! Il faut rêver et partager vos rêves. Vous méritez faire partie de ce voyage à la lune.
Oui, absolument.
Go, Illini! 💙🧡

Mood. Another rainy day throughout Chicagoland. ☔️
🚨 Christina Koch has officially become the farthest any woman has ever traveled from Earth
Fifth Element scene showing Bruce Willis enjoying Thai food with his white cat Sweetie in his apartment.
And who can forget Korban’s cat Sweetie?
A long haired black cat is perched atop a fuzzy white blanket. One paw is stretched out long in front of her, the other tucked securely under her. With a little imagination, she could either be a furry baby rattle, or a one legged character from Narnia.
Friday perspective: Do you see Pandora as a furry baby rattle, or as a one legged C.S. Lewis creature from Narnia? 🤣 #CatsofBlueSky
Mary Ann Cramer: I have to ask you the same question people back home are asking about space these days. Is it worth it? Should we just pull back? Forget the whole thing as a bad idea, and take care of our own problems, at home. Cmdr. Jeffrey Sinclair: No. We have to stay here. And there's a simple reason why. Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes, and - all of this - all of this - was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars.
Why we go to the stars. Cmdr. Sinclair of Babylon 5 said it best. Ad astra, Artemis II.
Me too, but didn’t work. Wouldn’t acknowledge my past Metra rides and let me buy a ticket.
I still have my favorites in the series.
Play ball!
