Oh somehow I missed that Stan Lee was in that group…that’s disappointing

My favorite tidbit so far at the AAS: you can write an astropy table to your disk as a LaTeX formatted object and never chase ampersands in your paper again! I had no idea…🔭

Are we supposed to call our reps and tell them we don’t like when the president engages in overt war crimes, or can we trust them to get there on their own?

Sorry for the delay over the holidays. Based on the frequency you mention here I will go ahead and above your signup. Part of the concern is we want to build conversations here instead of a lot of redirects to other places. Keep in mind the rule that most posts should not be promotional

Thank you for your reply. May I ask what you would intend to post to the feed?

Cancel. We support open access science but at current we have some concerns with your work being labeled as a journal when your site states you compile and discuss arXiv articles.

Got a Seestar and got to play around a little bit before clouds rolled in. No extra processing other than what the Seestar does. Pretty happy with this as a starter scope that doesn’t require a ton of effort while I’m still finishing my degree. Back yard, Bortle 9 site 🔭

For personal, “I’m way too busy right now” reasons, I chose not to present at the 3 Minute Thesis Competition this year, but I’m excited to support to incredible people I know sharing their work!

But sure, “liberals are so divisive” 🙄

In my experience, as a grad student, if you know someone in a program taking students then email them! The personal connection means so much. When I was applying I got accepted to every school where an undergrad faculty member reached out directly for me. None where they didn’t.

The scary thing is to think we will look back and see that a free press/ free media wasn’t taken, it was simply given up.

Agreed! I included their name on other social media posts. Not sure why I omitted it here…

Yes! We found it about 20 minutes before they closed and wish I had more time to really look around.

Found a cool bookstore in Fayetteville, Arkansas that deals in out of print books. Found some couple cool books including a first printing of Einstein on the development of physics.

Well clearly trans men are just doing it to follow the lead…or some other meaningless drivel of an explanation…
I’d “love” to hear the explanation of POC transitioning. To be less persecuted?
