Hey folks, I've added FEAR THE SPOTLIGHT to my curator page
Yes it's another oldschool Survival Horror with PS1 style aesthetics, no I will not apologize for recommending so many, the subgenre is on fire and the hits just keep coming, and this is a banger!

haha, we figured if you made it through the first half, you were ready for us to ratchet things up a bit. Also needed a way to keep things surprising instead of rehashing the same old stuff
Hot damn...the second chapter of Blumhouse's Fear the Spotlight is excellent. It opens up after the game "ends," but honestly, it's way more interesting and far scarier than anything that comes before it.
I'm thinking of finishing @cozygamepals.bsky.social Fear the Spotlight off-stream so I don't spoil the ending for anyone. I've really enjoyed it so far and kind of hate the idea of potentially ruining the experience for someone. But yeah, play this game. It's really well done.
this game was so much more than I bargained for, in a great way. not only does it execute amazingly on two different types of horror/horror game, it ALSO seamlessly blends its thesis statement throughout those disparate parts. truly amazing!!!!!!!!!!

Just sat down and played all the way through Fear the Spotlight tonight from Cozy Game Pals (@cozygamepals.bsky.social). Completely blew me away. Love the 90s aesthetic, the gameplay is solid, the scares are fantastic. So much atmosphere. Highly recommended if you're into horror.

Finished up Fear The Spotlight tonight, and you know what? That was absolutely delightful, nice and spooky PS1 inspired visuals, some great puzzles, and was surprisingly sweet! I really like it.
Fear the Spotlight is really worth your time. It’s a nice midpoint between Crow Country and Mouthwashing on the story/mechanics spectrum, and the story and tone do some unexpected and welcome tricks.
Highly recommend. @cozygamepals.bsky.social
An early concept art painting I created exploring the character design for the game Journey. Two masked figures stand in a dust storm, ther robes blowing in the wind.
This character was an important early step towards the final character design in Journey. I designed it before the game was greenlit, in the first weeks of the project. Elements of it stuck around until the end, and it helped define the art direction.
I'll share a bit about it in this thread.
Two teenagers do a seance at their high school after hours. Things go bad. Creepy stuff happens. Ps1-inspired graphics. Silent Hill inspired atmosphere. Surprisingly wholesome.

Played through Fear the Spotlight this week.
Excellent indie horror game where you're stuck in a high school and a creepy house after a seance gone bad. Very tense atmosphere amplified by amazing audio design (creaky doors, footsteps, etc) and charming retro visuals.
Enjoyed it a lot!
Many people have been asking for a sale, so here it is!
