I never disparage these shows bc the crew is always doing their best under a B-list celeb who ignores their advice & calls all the shots

And trust me, I love working on personal projects, I make board samples all the time and I’m working on an indie game with my husband and friends. But there comes a point where it’s too much. I’d like to just make consistent money and move on with my life

Ya’ll, I just want to clock in and clock out. I want to make money doing what I trained to do because I’m good at it. We shouldn’t have to build massive online audiences and make super elaborate pilot animatics and TV episodes to get jobs. We’ve already proven ourselves. I’m so tired

maybe I'm just old-man-yelling-at-cloud but I really need animation fans, especially ones who champion adult and indie animation, to grow the fuck up and act like normal adults seeking cool things to watch/experience and not like child kings demanding everything they want exactly how they want it

I love Nebula, this is a great idea I haven’t really thought about. A modern Newgrounds may be a good solution, with the first episode free to view (also on YouTube) and the rest needing a subscription to access. A built-in merch store would be nice too

Being terminally online and used to instant gratification for their entire young lives is a hell of a drug

I guess young people either forgot or don’t actually know what the word “indie” is short for? An independent company means operating separately from larger corporations, not “providing content for free always”. Adult artists need money to live and create more art, imagine that
