It's a'ight. Blackjack for the Exploding Kittens crowd. On your turn, you hit or you stay. If you hit and your card matches any of your previously flipped cards, you bust; you're out.
It's easy, it's breezy, and there's always a lot of yelling.

I went on a real deep dive this week with Don't Eat the Meeples as I tried to understand the realities of the "trick-taking renaissance," what might be a temporary boost in interest, and what might be a return to something that went away in the 2000s.

Solo playtest of Sinister Plots. It's a good, brain-burning game at its core; but it's still extremely wonky. The incentive structure is misaligned and the economy is completely out of whack. It's sloppy. I like the vague direction it's headed, but I haven't yet found true north.
