It does not guarantee a job as they must still perform well at interview and demonstrate they are the best fit for the role—but it does help create fairer access to opportunities. We want to make Renfrewshire Council a place where people with care experience feel welcomed and valued for their unique perspective and diverse skillset that would be an asset to any organisation." At the start of this year, I set a goal to read 12 books. 16928 pages and 52 books later, armed with my dyslexia tinted reading glasses, I have officially averaged one book a week for 2024. I am so proud of having broken down this barrier and have been able to discover a fantastic new hobby!
