9070 XT is the current top of the heap. The 7900 XTX has more VRAM (24 vs 16gb) but runs RDNA 3 vs RDNA 4 on the 9070 cards. AMDs native codec support is fucking dog shit, so if you use Parsec or anything like that, keep room in your case for an Nvidia card to run NVENC.
