Bold to assume that it "wouldn't matter" to TSA agents on the ground. It's documented how often prejudice/ignorance allows TSA agents to discriminate against travelers. They even reject legal US state IDs that are unfamiliar to them personally! That's how poorly trained they are.

Let's not normalize authoritarian overreach via security theater just because ICE is worse. TSA is an awful organization that needs to be abolished along with all of the other knee jerk reactions to 9/11.

I am not pointing this comment at anyone in particular, but: The TSA line has already been a fraught place for brown and Black travelers for as long as it has been around. The racism might get worse tomorrow, but it isn’t going to start tomorrow. That is all.
