I'm enjoying Tomodachi Life for the most part so far, but I can't help but feel that drama's been heavily diluted and played safe, and some of the features missing from the first game are really disappointing. Kind of coping that Nintendo releases content updates for the game over time.

A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
I'm not feelin so Super after that one, Mario, Brother...
Seeing a lot of videos asking "Why don't more people play fighting games," but I never see anyone bring up my answer. They talk about complexity, single player content, the usual suspects. But I think the number one thing keeping people from playing FGs is simply nobody wants to get their ass kicked
A fabricated statement from Nintendo of America's Twitter account addressing a fictitious scenario in which the Earth's oxygen supply is presumed to be depleting at a rapid pace, leaving humanity with mere days to live. "This is Miyamoto. On behalf of everyone who is employed at Nintendo Co. LTD and its subsidiaries, we deeply mourn the countless human lives which will be lost due to the depletion of the global oxygen supply. To anyone who has ever played one of our games, we are eternally grateful to have created long-lasting fun and memories for you. To ease the suffering of families and children across the world, the Mario Kart World game for the Nintendo Switch 2 system will be available as a free download on Nintendo eShop for the foreseeable future. We hope this small gesture of kindness will ease the pain as humanity prepares for a worst-case scenario." The statement is distastefully plastered with logos for Nintendo and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as with a render of Mario from Mario Kart World.
A fabricated Twitter thread responding to the fabricated Nintendo statement. John Default Profile Picture: "No one read this statement and thought it was distasteful? Why did Miyamoto think this would help anyone?" NintenDeen: "Simple: Nintendo is so depraved that they'd exploit a global crisis to boost the player count of the failed Mario Kart World and force consumers back into the Switch 2 ecosystem to boost sales and player numbers."
A fabricated Twitter thread responding to the fabricated Nintendo statement. PlayStation Nation: "What the fuck are you doing falsely advertising sales during these trying times? I went to the website and Mario Kart World is still selling for $80 USD." Kremling Kevin: "If you actually read the statement, it clearly says the discount is available on Nintendo eShop. Meaning the application on the Switch 2 itself, not the web browser version." PlayStation Nation: "Point still stands."
A fabricated Tweet responding to the fabricated Nintendo statement. Isaboner: "Nothing for Switch 1 owners?"
Had a dream that there was global panic about the world running out of oxygen, Nintendo was the only video game company to make a statement about it, and the internet collectively spent its final hours on Earth debating whether Nintendo was being genuine or not
Had an idea for what I thought would be a really cool Fallout-inspired game/world setting only to find out a damn Family Guy episode got to it 26 years before I did.
crazy that my New Year hopefulness wore off the second January ended and now it's just back to business as usual
Bleak but inevitable, and the repercussions of everything being built off the back of Discord for the past decade haven't even reached their peak yet.
It's just really silly to vaguepost in a manner that can easily be construed as hostile and then pearl-clutch when there are people that read it that way, especially if they feel the need to defend themselves because everyone "agreeing" with your vague post are getting your thumbs up even.
On one hand, it's not just misinformation, shitposting, and slurs (like what happens on Twitter), but on the other hand it's still this bullshit animosity, with the group defending themselves because they feel attacked now actually being attacked, just because of some vague ass post.
Somebody writes up a vague reply to something rather innocuous. The way it's worded, it's extremely easy to parse as passive-aggressive and against that thing, replies are either people who were against that thing and are nodding, or people who read the vague hostility, and OP returns fire on them?
It's kind of funny to me that the discourse that happens on this site differs so greatly from discourse on Twitter that it makes both full of two entirely different kinds of obnoxious people that make me not want to use social media whatsoever, maybe it's a net positive.
I'm just saying, if I was born Canadian, none of this would have ever happened. 1999 onward would be totally different
I heard they shot down Santa over Albuquerque. Anyone got any leads on a source?
If you add Farmer's Delight definitely add Create: Slice & Dice, and then also consider Some Assembly Required because making sandwich factories is great
Carry On, Sophisticated Storage/Backpacks, FallingTree is nice, Create: Copycats+ for building, Delayed Thunder and Pretty Rain are both nice ambient ones, same as Coastal Waves and Wakes Reforged, Amendments and Supplementaries, I also really love Exposure

Facebook, Steve Gatewood: "Some dudes in the lunch room today were talking about Charlie Kirk and must have noticed me listening and one asked "what do you think of all this Charlie Kirk stuff" and I was like "oh idk I never heard of her" and he said "him" and I said "oh great another liberal obsessed with pronouns" and he said "HAH IM FAR FROM LIBERAL BUDDY" and I said "sure you are go tell it to your furry club" and pointed at the Ohio State buckeyes mascot on his shirt and I'm pretty sure he believed in political violence for a second"
It's pretty decent though has a few weird bugs I've encountered, probably worth it more for You vs Boo and All Night Nippon, haven't messed with the level editor yet
This is the video game equivalent of putting morbius back in theaters
I could just emulate both games in higher resolution with more quality of life hacks than Nendo is willing to put into an overpriced anniversary bundle (with a game that was already released in an anniversary bundle???)
$40 individually and $70 together for simple rereleases of games rapidly approaching 2 decades old without any major, significant changes, overhauls, or additions is insane
