For 99% of taxpayers, the IRS already has the data to send you an almost fully completed 1040 for you to add a few pieces of data to, automatically recalculate, be done.

It doesn’t because of Intuit.

If we can’t help, we can at minimum not hurt? 🤣🙏 I jest, but it’s also a fair path.

Absolutely. I can’t imagine being complicit in this game, because it subjects us all to more of the same.

More and more I see this everywhere. It’s so maddening. It wastes my time cause I have a budget in mind I can’t go over, so I carefully select items and calculate the total spend as I go. Then when the tally is wrong I have to abandon stuff at check out. It’s fucked. It’s FOOD.
