Richard Watterson drawn in three art styles.
"He drew Richard in the Hanna-Barbera style!"
Not quite. Here's what that would *actually* look like :P
She is prettyyyyy
Quick fanart inbetween commissions!
I legit felt like this when it was done lol. Cause like. It's not the most amazing art in the world, but it's waaay better than what I'm used to producing. So I gotta write this shit down!!!
For my final "push" to up the contrast, I just cheated and used a "levels" filter to spread out the lights and darks more.
Also, I felt her left ear was too big. Since I had everything separated on 100 different layers, I was able to do "surgery" and fix it. And that's it!
I was mostly happy here but I still felt the colors were a bit "flat". I tried to push adding more darks and lights.
I used yellow light to match the city lights. I didn't know the level of yellow I wanted ahead of time, so I just used a pure yellow mask and tweaked the opacity until I liked it.
Also, for the eyeshadow I added some sparklies using Krita's "y) Texture Splat" brush. I added both white and purple bits.
For the city lights in the back, I just painted some semi-organized rectangles and then did a gaussian blur on them.
(con't from above)
For shadows I used pure "Hue=240" blue with multiply blend mode. I did detailed shadows, but I also painted the left side with a blue "smear" since it's the darker half of the character.
The result of everything together so far is below.
Next is highlights and shadows. I also use multiple layers for different for parts because it lets me control the opacity for each part. For example the eyes have high opacity since they are very reflective.
Also the brush I was using was a modified version of Krita's "c) Pencil-3 Large 4B". I changed the shape to "square" and also set the "Rotation" to "Tilt direction".
For colors, I just color-picked from some reference images that I was using. I also kept each color on its own layer so they were easier to tweak if needed.
(I see the glass and drink to 50% opacity since they are translucent.)

This came out well for my skill level, so I'm documenting how I made it.
1. Loose sketch; used figure-8 for hat
2. First attempt at lines didn't go well; I gave up for the night.
3. Next day I tried again and got better results. Mainly I improved the eyes and used a thinner brush

Miss Bianca, the mouse lady from Disney's The Rescuers, is smiling and looking at the viewer. She is wearing a purple hat, pearls, and scarf, and holding a glass with a fancy drink. The background is a nighttime cityscape.

He's adorable!
My style's slightly more dimensional as well as angular.
I dunno.
A rough attempt to stylize Richard Watterson :P
Old! But I still like it.

Just returning the favor! ๐
I'm late to this, but it's a very lovely piece!

These are seriously so good. Thank you for blessing us with them.
I think Helen Knable is the deepest cut I know as far as mouse ladies go.
Dang you already got it all figured out, huh!
what r ur thoughts on her:
Are you in a mousey mood?
Thanks lol. I admit I wasn't too fond of the show's humor (at least in the episodes I watched) but I like the character designs of the parents a lot!
It's based on this Jucika comic! I mention that in my original post back in December 2025.
