Walz: The president said it's a bunch of radicals. You're damn right we've been radicalized. Radicalized by compassion, radicalized by decency, radicalized by due process, radicalized by democracy.

The best part about 1917 is SD leaders told women not to turn out for International Women's Day protests in March because it was a lib-coded distraction and they wanted to save their juice for May Day. Instead the women turned out anyway and those protests literally sparked the revolution

“When homophobic hate comes my way and says, ‘Why did you have to make it a gay story?’ We say, ‘Because you ask questions like that. It’s not a gay story it’s a love story, you asshole” —Nick Offerman, his response to people bitching about his character being gay in The Last of Us.

That will be hard to outdo

But current & former CDC staff are up to the task! Our birthday wish for Russell Vought is....
A nice relaxing vacation in Lowndes County, Alabama. Vought cancelled CDC funds to protect Lowndes County from raw sewage and hookworm resulting from outdated water infrastructure.

A little birdie told us that a truly foul, morally bankrupt, repugnant creature name Russell Vought has a birthday soon. Join us in wishing him the birthday karma he is so deserving of! 😌

Hbd (🙄) to the evil bigot who’s aging like raw milk! 🥛🤮

The Pentagon’s restrictions on news outlets violate the First Amendment, a federal judge ruled, and issued an order tossing parts of the department’s policy. It’s a victory for The New York Times, which filed suit in December over the restrictions. nyti.ms/3PegXt0

If I had known Chuck Norris was so politically bad, I would have mindfully not watched his movies instead of just never seeing them.

Look, I may have disagreed with Chuck Norris‘s politics, but that doesn’t mean I can’t also acknowledge he was an untalented actor who made shitty movies. RIP

Not enough people are talking about the genocide in Sudan. The Rapid Security Forces (RSF) militia (backed by the United Arab Emirates & others) is torturing, raping, and killing thousands of people from non-Arab ethnic groups.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

US committee is reconsidering all vaccine recommendations Move is dramatic departure for advisory group under Kirk Milhoan, who says he dislikes the term ‘established science’

RFK Jr’s sham of a vaccine advisory board is now “reevaluating” decades of evidence based, life-saving science & denigrating routine shots while vaccine preventable diseases return. Surely a wise choice as the US has all but lost measles elimination status, and ongoing measles outbreaks persist 🤡🎪

“Thank you all for all of your kind words. When I first started to speak at the meeting today, I had no idea what the reaction was going to be. I am no hero. I am just one of the many public health scientists at CDC who happens to have been entrusted with a leadership role and the platform to be able to put words to what we were all thinking.

The real credit (and the cookies) should go to the teams in the Division of Viral Hepatitis, Immunization Safety Office (DHQP), Immunization Services Division, and NCIRD OD who did the real work that led up to today. If you want to do something to recognize the hard work that went into making it possible for me to stand up this week and advocate for our children, do something for those groups, or better yet, do something for the unsung heroes you work with every day. They deserve the acclamation as much or more than I do.”
