I'm looking forward to seeing Wicked again today! I've been thinking about this movie a lot. It was so memorable and thought provoking.

Grammarly is derided by many editors. Their new tool, Grammarly Authorship, aims to prove the provenance of text (e.g., AI-generated text versus your own writing).

It's in beta testing, so time will tell how accurate and used this tool is compared with other AI-detecting tools.

I attended my first in-person event with editors last night in San Francisco! We learned about the ethics of AI from Amy Frushour Kelly and Erin Servais.

Thanks to the organizers: Bay Area Editors' Forum and the SF/Bay Area Chapter of the Editorial Freelancers Association.

Thanks for sharing, @kyrafreestar.bsky.social! I enjoyed Steven Pinker's "The Language Instinct" many years ago and have two of his other books on our shelves.

I would love to be included in your starter pack (1 or 2) as well. Thank you for setting these up. They are super helpful!

I'm liking the expansion of editing-related content in my home office.

I edited an article where the authors were citing undergraduate-level biology textbooks for well-known facts about proteins! I suggested that they could remove the references to basic scientific knowledge!
