Today I asked for as much feedback as possible on the app.
And I think we are gonna pivot a bit, doing a better version of what we do, but everything well integrated.
The app right now is just an addition of too much feature.

Day 4/30
The most overlooked skill in data analytics:
Not SQL. Not Python.
It's knowing what problem you're actually solving before you open a single tool.
A member of our community with 3-4 years of experience realized they'd been skipping this step the whole time.

Today I'm deep in the 14+ project roadmap.
SQL, Python, Power BI, BigQuery, R, ETL…
Each project mirrors real analyst work. Each one builds your portfolio.
The hardest part isn't building the content, it's making sure every project actually prepares you for the job.

It's hard to be honest, even by doing what they need it doesnt always work so its a lot of exchanges + external communication
I will continue to deliver new feature for them, to really help their journey into data analysis ! but some customer come also for SEO and SEA (launched in November)

its basically:

this is how i learned and its the only way that works
problem is most ppl dont know what projects to build
or how to build a good portfolio
so i made d8a.academy
so the play is:
build projects (show dont tell)
get interviews from portfolio
skip full time jobs
go freelance
charge what youre worth
freelance = you charge per day
started at €400/day (~$420)
thats like €8k/month if you work 20 days
way more than any junior job
now im at $750/day
then when i got offers
everyone wanted to give me a full time junior role
€40k/year or whatever
i said no
went freelance immediately
the thing is
companies dont actually care about your resume or degree that much
they care if you can do the job
so i just showed them i could already do it
easy
i just built a bunch of projects
like actual data projects
put them online
companies saw them and were like "ok this kid can actually do the work"
got interviews
ok so
most junior data analysts in europe make like €40-45k/year
thats $3,500/month ish
i was making €8,500/month at 20
now i make $750/day freelancing
