In her latest, @stephaniekaloi.bsky.social talks to Sarah Gorden about a choice many female athletes face — whether or not they'll change their names after marriage, and how that might affect their career or marketability.

Veronica Burton is returning to the Bay.
The Golden State Valkyries have re-signed the 2025 Most Improved Player to a multi-year deal.
Our @matthew-walter96.bsky.social on the latest moves and reports, including losing forward Monique Billings in free agency to Indiana.
Valkyries announced Veronica Burton is back on a multi-year deal. Was their priority as an RFA.
My understanding is the Valkyries are in talks with Gabby Williams and I don’t expect Mo Billings to return to the team
You could be just going about your regular lives today knowing that someone was trying to get your family affordable health care, lower prices, prevent diseases, create peace and stability in the world, but you voted for this mess. I didn't. Not once.
So thanks...
Cori Close has long called coaching her calling. On Sunday, the lifetime of work turned into a coronation as the UCLA coach finally became a national champion. From @macsmith413.bsky.social: www.theixsports.com/features/cor...
South Carolina cranking up the pressure and UCLA is going to need to "reset". Their term for what happens when they get in a tough spot.
Said before the game:
“Half court game, slow tempo = UCLA wins
Up tempo, transition game = SC wins
Betts is an awful mismatch but if SC is getting in passing lanes to keep it away from her + using their speed & ability to win 1v1s it could be their night.”
So far style & tempo is favoring UCLA
Charlisse Leger-Walker is, and has always been, a bucket. Looks like she is looking to be one today. That's good news for UCLA.
Cori's leather pants are back.
UCLA?

NCAA highlight video of previous champions is showing on the screen at Mortgage Matchup Center with about 8 minutes to go until game time and every time Geno Auriemma appears on screen, loud booing...not great.
This is so, so good.
NASA just dropped this image of Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch looking back at us. The first woman to ever see our planet in its entirety. I’m not crying you’re crying 🥹🔭🧪 📸: NASA
Re: Geno’s apology. I think the university president or the athletic director said, you will apologize and here is what we’ve written for you because our men’s team is at the Final Four and they aren’t going to answer questions about your bullshit.
On the nose
Pressure is everywhere for the teams that make the Final Four. And on Friday night, South Carolina and UCLA handled it best to advance to the national title game, our @macsmith413.bsky.social writes. #NCAAWBB
