I just came up with the worst band name:
The Moists

Another Nazi's career on the ash heap thanks to the brave people of Minnesota

Instead of supporting independent record stores tomorrow, I'm only supporting co-dependent record stores. I mean, whatever, they can do what they want; it's not like I give a shit. BUT THOSE RECORDS ARE MINE, ASSHOLE! No, no, I'm sorry, please...I hate myself.
A handy clue to the many, many, people I know who've felt like this:
Neurotypicals never say "I'm really not sure if I'm actually neurodivergent though".
Basically, if you've considered it long enough to ask the question, you've got the answer.
I... what?!
I have never, in my life, even considered the possibility of needing "inspiration" to order a cup of coffee, let alone asking a robot about it.
Like I could *understand*, even as I despise, people who use it to write novels or something. But *coffee*?!
I don’t like knowing there are so many of theses guys out there but I do like learning who they are via something terrible happening to them

TIL my mom was at Peter Sellers’ first wedding in 1964. She was a reporter for the Surrey Advertiser, and the only press at the wedding. Her reporting didn’t mention that it snowed — not a big deal to an American from the Midwest, but apparently a big deal in Guildford.
Remember, you don’t have to give DW Griffith a cookie. You can say BIRTH OF A NATION is racist, full stop. You don’t have to soften it by parroting phony, debunked “firsts”
We don’t say Confederate statues have pretty carving.
A screenshot of a list of Fenway organ song requests played from 4/3/26 thru 4/8/28 (DM me if you need a text version of the list to be able to read it).
Back on my bullshit.

“Wonderful president. Gave the country two weeks to live, they didn’t open the strait, gave them another two weeks…”
Will this be over before Mom gets home?

Can't tell you how many members of Congress who *at best* had nothing to say when I asked about the Minab girls school attack. There is a profanely cold detachment inside Capitol Hill, a mode completely unrecognizable to common human decency I wish I could properly convey to you.

Black and white phot of Cecil Taylor sitting at a grand piano. Cecil is wearing a dark shirt and sunglasses, and appears to have a white towel draped over his shoulders. In the background is a chalkboard with music staves (this photo was taken in the Carriage Barn on the Bennington College campus), and in the foreground is a drum set.
Black and white photo of the Cecil Taylor Unit performing in the Carriage Barn at Bennington College. From left to right: alto saxophonist Jimmy Lyons, drummer Andrew Cyrille, bassist Henry Grimes, and — bathed in a sunbeam — Cecil Taylor, who is seated at a grand piano.
62 years ago today, Cecil Taylor took part in a panel discussion at Bennington College. Arranger Hall Overton was also on the panel, with Amiri Baraka and Bernard Malamud speaking from the audience. Transcript: www.mattweston.com/cecilpanel.h...
On 6 April 1965, The Beach Boys arrived at the Western Studio in Hollywood to begin work on a new Brian Wilson and Mike Love song, “California Girls”.
They recorded 44 takes of the backing track until Brian Wilson was satisfied with the results.
Horace Tapscott was born in Houston, Texas on this day in 1934
I loved it, and had only heard Rivers’ name in passing. I also now know — 50 years after first hearing it — who sings “Devil Woman.” (I did know that Cliff sang “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” which was *insanely* ubiquitous on US AM top 40 stations).
This “Jack White” persona/alter-ego Joe Bonamassa came up with isn’t very convincing.
