The notion that you can’t be appointed to public office by the Administration without genuflecting to the obvious and odious lie is deeply alarming and, in itself, disqualifying.

This is not just theoretical. The inability to say this truth speaks to a kind of obeisance to a would-be tyrant that poses a real and ongoing threat to constitutional government and makes one unfit for public trust.
Simple rule: the Senate should not confirm any appointee to any post who can’t say clearly who legitimately won the 2020 presidential election. Not just who was “installed”, but who won the vote and the electoral college.
*PAKISTAN IN CONTINUOUS CONTACT W/ IRAN ON CONFIRMING DELEGATION
Basically Pakistan is frantically attempting to get Iran to show up at all. It's getting hard for Trump to spin this as negotiations being on track to prop up financial markets
Prior to modern medicine, disease killed more soldiers than combat. I’m guessing that weakened our war-fighting capabilities.

Warsh is NOT handling Senator Warren's interrogation well. None of these questions should be a surprise to him.
“I would have won Vietnam very quickly”

SOMEONE PLEASE ASK KEVIN WARSH ABOUT THIS REPORT.
Smith: "Do you think gas prices going up 20% is fake inflation"
Warsh: "they move and when they move in the wrong direction, Americans feel that"
It's not just that Warsh would be beholden to Trump. That is the most important thing, but it also overshadows the fact that his Fed calls down the years have been bad--not uniquely bad, but systematically bad. I'm old enough to remember when he wanted to hike rates in 2008
I would like someone to explore with Mr Warsh why he thinks the economic impacts of AI are within the Fed’s remit but the economic impacts of climate change are not.
Smith’s question about insurance almost got there but didn’t quite.
I of course have the TV muted, but understand that Warsh refused to acknowledge Biden's 2020 win. Amazing.

Warsh hearing so far has been kind of frustrating. No one has asked the questions that seem most relevant to me:
1) is Trump's criminal investigation into Powell appropriate?
2) what would you do if Trump threatened retribution against you if he didn't like your actions/Fed policy decisions?

Quick reminder that credit usually takes much longer to go wrong than you might expect. Much capital has been raised in the past to exploit a burgeoning distressed opportunity/maturity wall/liquidity cliff which ended up being deployed into less exciting stuff because waiting is expensive.
