Official Team GB Paralympic photo, with the the crests and everything, and a professional headshot, but it's for "Pickle, A Very Good Girl", who is a black labrador, with a hi-viz harness and a red collar.
Some of you like dogs, in which case you may appreciate that guide dogs of Team GB for the Paralympics get official photos

This is the Alysa Liu performance everyone is talking about, and yes, you should watch it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCrF...

A staggering statement from former Washington Post editor Marty Baron: "This ranks among the darkest days in the history of one of the world's greatest news organizations."
imagine watching this and not thinking that this is the whole goddamn reason to even *have* America

a type of content that makes me want to launch myself into space and is huge part of why everything is so bad: TikToker goes down a “rabbit hole,” makes 9-minute video. The “rabbit hole” was she found an Eater article. The Eater journalist did all the work: www.tiktok.com/t/ZTruBS8cp/

What idiot named it THE BEATLES — A FOUR-FILM CINEMATIC EVENT instead of ONE BEATLE AFTER ANOTHER
Sara Whitmer • • • 1h • 8 I'm sure many of you have heard by now that earlier this week, IU k*lled the print edition of its student paper, the IDS. The issue that was supposed to print this week contained criticism of the Whitten regime and IUs further slide into scist control, and they couldn't allow that to happen during Homecoming, when all the rich alumni are in town. Enter Purdue! The Purdue student paper, The Exponent, owns its own presses. Yesterday, in an act of tremendous solidarity with their biggest rival school, they printed the forbidden issue of the IDS. They then drove it to Bloomington overnight and stocked all of the IDS boxes on campus, just in time for Homecoming. Solidarity is what makes us stronger, and solidarity will be what ultimately allows us to triumph, if we can ever truly get it together. I hope everyone has a fun, safe day if they're going out today, and I hope we can think about what acts of solidarity we can begin taking to really make this movement MOVE - beyond a permitted expression of upset into more active resistance. 75 12 comments

Wow Liam Gallagher looks great!
LMAO MassLive wrote an article about Liam Gallagher of Oasis performing at an Irish bar in Boston, but it was actually just an Oasis cover band.

I have gathered my thoughts and turned it into a fun blog about how IMDb is hell. I hope you like a long, under-explained list of movie ratings. aftermath.site/imdb-review-...
regret to inform you that it kicks incredible amounts of ass
“One Battle After Another” is PTA's most purely entertaining film to date, an alchemic mix of political intrigue, thrilling action, and giddy comedy, all undergirded by some of the most technically spectacular filmmaking in recent memory.

Some news: yesterday was my last at Rolling Stone. For now, I'm going solo, doing all my TV reviewing, recapping, etc., at my newsletter. I hope you'll consider subscribing. Many more details here:
THE STRAIGHT STORY is well worth your time, and is currently streaming on Disney+. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bauh...
Sometimes I use Letterboxd for more than just a pithy one-liner or a way to link to my already-published reviews. This was one of those times.

It was also good, but not to the top-tier level of the 28DL ep. David Rees is so funny and insightful that I kept rewinding to really take in what he was saying. I wouldn’t subscribe to the Patreon for the 28WL ep alone, but it’s still solid.
went back and listened to both the 28 days and weeks later episodes in preparation, can't wait to listen!
I'll have a full bracket recap at the end of the week in my free streaming newsletter, The Queue, which you should definitely sign up for!

For the past 10 days, our readers have been voting in Massachusetts Movie Madness, our 32-film bracket to determine the best Bay State movie ever made. If you feel strongly about either Jaws or Good Will Hunting, there's still time to vote! www.boston.com/tag/best-bos...
“Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” is a flawed, overstuffed, vainglorious monument to radical self-belief. But when Ethan Hunt looks you dead in the eye and says, “I’m the only one who can do this,” you believe him.
Seems like I'm in the minority among critics, but I didn't love Murderbot, despite the obvious personal resonance. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/05/15/a...
