For the record though… could I also select the vertices that I want to comprise a face and “make into face” or do I just need to be more careful when deleting vertices?

You don't. The lighting is static. I'm pretty sure that the face just isn't there because I can turn on double-sided faces and it shows me the inside of the pyramid.

I'm loving #picocad2 and hoping for some help 🙏 I created a D4-shaped pyramid by deleting a vertex from the pyramid primitive.

It seems like either now a face doesn't exist OR the normal is reversed (I think the former).

Is there a way to "get that face back" so I can texture it? @johanpeitz.com
