Lorne is a documentary about arguably the most elusive man in entertainment, but it’s still fascinating. There’s been a lot of SNL documentaries released the past two years but this is one of the best that’s come out.

The Heartbreak Kid: Becoming Shawn Michaels is a pretty solid doc, even if it’s clearly extremely controlled by WWE corporate. But I’m a sucker for wrestling docs, so it was cool to have a new one to watch.

Tim Travers and the Time Traveler’s Paradox is very low budget, but that’s part of the charm. Very fun story of an inventor who keeps accidentally making doubles of himself via time travel, it’s an impressive sci-fi comedy that uses the budget very effectively.

While he gets points for trying something new, Cronin’s take on the material is far too vast and disjointed to be interesting for the over two hour runtime. If it was only focused on May Calaway’s detective investigating disappearances in Cairo it would have been a stronger movie.

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is a mix of Pet Semetary, Evil Dead, Bring Her Back, and the Exorcist and doesn’t ever really come together as a coherent movie.
