I agree with the general premise, but there are times where I feel like I've run out of interesting internet content (which feels similar to "there's nothing on TV.") I just think (as argued elsewhere) that there's more than just The Internet to cause this.

Agreed, but I also think stay-at-home during the pandemic reset routines enough that it feels easier/more comfortable to stay at home and watch Netflix than head into the city and go to the club or whatever the kids do these days.

Couldn't that be argued since the dawn of cable TV, at least to some extent? I'm not sure "changing cable TV to a video-on-demand library" is a primary motivating factor.
