Capsule art for Dungeon Roller with the logo behind the Steam banner.
New update for Capsule Art Studio is live!
Steam Demo assets now show the overlay Steam adds to your art. Born out of frustration from getting my Dungeon Roller art rejected because the banner covered the logo. Now you can visualize it directly in the tool!

So glad I shared my Steam page here! Thanks to your feedback, the SFX in the teaser should no longer cause tinnitus, and I’ve added new art to the page. I struggle with the description, it won't get much better with my lacking English skills. Any feedback is welcome!

Looks awesome! When do you plan to release it?
This post is my first attempt to get feedback. My wife haven't even read the description. The sound effect feedback is very much confirmed by the comments here😁. Appreciate all the feedback I can get.
Thanks! I tried to go from getting beaten in the first 2 seconds, then show a powerful attack. I will consider different order next teaser update.
And for the sound, I was just too immerged in the development to hear it, but now I cant understand how I could stand it. Will fix 😂
Yes. Ive been too immerged in other parts of the development to notice, but after she said it I cant stand the sound myself 😂. So Yes, feedback is crucial.
- You're 100% right. I will move the roll button.
- I really struggle with it, my English is quite weak. This is several iterations and I even used ai for feedback (but not letting it edit anything). I will task a native speaking friend to review and rewrite and share your quick feedback.
Thanks! I aim to have a early demo ready within a month.
Thanks!!! No plans for voice acting at this point. I solo dev this on evenings and weekends so the scope is kept low and I have no budget. Thanks for asking.
Made a new teaser for Dungeon Roller and edited the description on Steam. My wife says she gets tinnitus from the sound effects, so I will fix that. 😂 What else do you think I need to look into on the page? (Also, please wishlist! 😊)

Just released Capsule Art Studio on Itch! 🚀 This tool was born out of frustration after wasting hours screwing up capsule art and social media assets. Demo with all features + paid $2.50 (-75%). Check it out and drop a comment.

Will definitely read. This is easily my most anticipated game of 2026. I even googled earlier today to check if I missed a release date announcement. Also, as a game dev this would be a dream game to work on!
The Steam page for Dungeon Roller went up a week ago, and I just posted the first update!
Counting on something between 0 and 0.5 readers, but you have to start somewhere. 😂

I like the colors 😍
Dropping a link to Steam here too. Wishlist if you see potential, it helps a solo dev a lot. 🤗

Opening a chest can now go sideways with this new hand-drawn enemy! I also added some juice to the overkill VFX.
Definitely inspired by Balatro, but I think it's still original enough not to end up a mimic myself.
Wishlist on Steam🙏 (link in bio)!

I think most NES-games are a bit clunky with todays standards, with some exceptions such as the SMB and Mega Man-series, but with a great scoped down core gameplay that make them excellent candidates for modern takes.
Oh! I have never seen those two before. Never released in Sweden. They didn't release games with too much text here because the kids' language skills weren't good enough back then.😆 Had a quick look on youtube. Looks like hidden gems. I will definitely check them out. Thanks!
Good one. I think Sega announced they planned a remake but its been quiet since then. Both modern pixelart with light sources etc and something like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled would work.
Faxanadu, meeting with the king.
Which nearly forgotten or obscure game do you think should be resurrected in 2026? For me, it's Faxanadu. It's a bit clunky and rough, but has a vibe I still think of decades later. I’d throw myself over a chance to revisit the World Tree.

It has a free and a ~$5 version. The free version is feature-complete, but bundled with deliberate annoyances to nudge users toward paying: wait times and terrible dad jokes (1st screenshot).
Now I’m second-guessing it. Is that tongue-in-cheek, or just plain annoying? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
A dialog with a dad joke and some wait time to convince the user to upgrade to paid version.
In in app image with capsule art made for Steam.
I made a tool for creating (no AI) & organizing capsule art for storefronts. I've been procrastinating the release since December. Used it earlier this week and decided it's time! Forcing future me not to bail out with a public promise: it launches within a week! 🚀

Thanks! I have such fun working on it, with a limited scope and Godot being lightning fast. I've been working on a Unity game for years, and the last year has really been uphill. I try to push to release Dungeon Roller sometime after the summer. Looking forward to your podcast!
I’m making my first Godot game, a bit too early to be in a podcast but check it out if you find it interesting:

Drew a mandatory Slime enemy for my "roguelike dungeon-crawler deckbuilder", Dungeon Roller. It looks harmless, but might be the last thing you see on your run.

I’m a programmer by day, so drawing for my indie game is such a energizing break. I replaced the chest placeholders today. Obviously had to make a #Mimic too! Still learning #procreate. What do you think about it? Tips before I pour more hours in?
