I mean, nothing else can actually live up to "we're running for our lives across Antarctica"

Happy Saturday! Looking for something to read? Here's a list of books that tap into the desires of our inner survivalist.
AKA: There's only one sleeping bag.
A large planter with a small tree and a cat
Funny, one of those grew in my garden as well
It's TBR Challenge day! This month's prompt was "Fool's Errand," and you KNOW that people in romance novels never do anything foolish.
This was not the plan (I mean, it was totally the plan), but we timed this perfectly for us picking what books we'll be reading for the #TBRChallenge.
Series Review: Lady of Darkness by Melissa Roehrich
This one isn't covering any new ground—but if you like Romantasy, it's fun and engaging and has great characters, so why not?
And because we gotta have the niche lists for people who are looking for something specific, also one of Ace and Demi Rep in M/M Hockey Romances

So much so that she has, over the past few years, put together at least 4 other listicles centered on MM hockey books (and the occasional MF hockey book).
In chronological order:
When I said that Erin has been obsessed with Heated Rivalry for years, I mean reading it meant that she then read ALL the M/M hockey romances.
(Before we started the blog, she read Regency Dukes Only. Look how far we've come!)
This message brought to you by A Wicked Bargain for the Duke by Megan Frampton, which features the biggest ding dong and is also an utter delight
Emotionally constipated ding dongs make for the best romance novels.
I suspect it's partially because the details about a character tells us a lot about that character—and I'm not sure what being obsessed with the Brontes says about a person.
Thinking this morning about the book characters in romance novels read.
And I want to know: where are the heroines in Victorian romances who are reading the Brontes?
Plenty of histrom folks reading "the latest by Miss Austen" or Pamela or a made up gothic romance.
If you haven't read it, A Lady for All Seasons by TJ Alexander (f/nb historical romance) features Byron heavily (in a delightful and complicated way).
Review: While You Were Seething by Charlotte Stein
If the only thing by Stein you've read is When Grumpy Met Sunshine, please be aware that this book is less funny and way more angsty. But just as sexy.
perfect! who needs hot water anyway!
berry seltzer is an abomination, pamplemousse or GTFO
Yeah, I was going to say 50% open rate is amazing!
Um but that spying on dancing scene sounds sexy af
Series Review: Morelli Family by Leighton Greene
Is it healthy? Probably not, but this is one excellent series if you really want to hit all those mafia romance beats.
This was actually our 69th episode, but we didn't realize that when we were recording. A missed opportunity to do something ridiculous.
(Maybe we'll notice for Tumblereads #69)
Series Review: The Legacy Series by Melissa Roehrich
Ingrid struggled with some of the journey, but the destination was worth it.
To enjoy, you must be ok with a heroine who is an uncontrollable hot mess. You must also be ok with a throuple situation.
This week on Tumblereads, we're talking about Old Books and whether and how they hold up.
(The answer is, always, it depends.)
Okay, I've added loads more people to the latest starter pack! So, if you're looking for more awesome book and art community folks to follow, check out these lists! 🥰
