There's not really a moral to this. Just feelings.

About looking like a shark. And understanding what that means.

It can be lonely, or painful, to realize that you look like a shark now. But it was lonely and painful--in different ways--to not look like a shark as well.

So you look like a shark. And you do your best with that knowledge. And people might be scared of you. They don't know you're not a shark.

When you don't grow up looking like a shark, it is sometimes jarring to have to remember that you now look like a shark. You may not be one of the sharks that have murdered or maimed a person, but you are indistinguishable on first glance.

We shouldn't need survivors to retraumatize themselves by going into explicit detail to believe them.

Believe them the first time.

Everyone saying "I'm so devastated by the Vulture article" is really telling on themselves about not believing the women who came forward months ago to say these allegations already. (cont)
