This is dangerous. It almost feels like they are creating a state controlled media since all the tech billionaires have ties in with the government. (Please correct me if I am wrong here).

I don’t like also making assumptions, but if the rumors are true that Tik tok may be bought by Meta, the implications of this happening is huge. Almost all social media platforms will be owned by right wing billionaires. Like president Biden said, this is a creation of an oligarchy.

Maybe he thinks that people won’t fight back as much when he starts doing what he actually plans to do (project 2025). Even though, he was the one that wanted it banned in the first place for “national security”.

I do however, feel that it is not gone forever. I feel that Trump absolutely will “save” it to make him look as if he is a hero to many younger Americans.

However, tik tok should not be banned and I understand why people are upset. The income loss for people. The communities that people built. The stories that were told and the lives that were changed. It is something to mourn.

I only used tik tok on occasion. Didn’t really have a following there. I built up my platform on instagram mostly by looking for like minded moms and anyone else really, that wanted to help create change and protect our rights and our democracy.

What words can I use to express how creepy, weird, and culty this is. Do people really think this is normal behavior?
