Well, props to Marvel for this
Granted, maybe Timmy has a semi-excuse to not care about school, between his insane teacher and the show's general bleak premise ("kid physically and verbally abused, neglected, and/or bullied by every figure in his life, but 'for laughs'")...
Generative AI feels like something the lazy, stupid/book-dumb, hates reading/school star of a kid's cartoon would love--- Johnny Test, Timmy Turner, etc.
"Yes! Something to do my homework for me!" *Warned about why AI's bad* "Who cares! Time to (*do something inane*) instead of reading or writing!"

Silver Age panel. Jimmy Olsen is outside somewhere holding a camera in his hands. Narration: "But, wait...what's this new surprise that Jimmy runs into, a few minutes later?" Spoilers, it's a robot approaching him. The robot has written on its chest, "This robot is trained to smash your camera". Jimmy says, "Jeepers! Got to escape that robot!"
"You ruined my video! I need what passes for ad revenue! Er, I mean---'hit that like and subscribe button'?"

I used to have Game Pass off and on, but it's largely been off for quite awhile now. The price hike (and now price drop) and Xbox looking like it has a bleak future as a platform aren't changing that...
Good article summarizing the legal history of Holmes ownership and how some owners had the attitude “I am not hostile to homosexuals, but I am to anyone who is not true to the spirit of the books.”
Also, “we never got to learn whether “respecting women” is a trait that can be covered by copyright.”
Those strange liberties taken?
“Holmes has an intensely homoerotic friendship with Moriarty, his family is a whole disaster, and he’s utterly useless as a detective.”
I am even more eager to watch the show now.

As a young woman in profile from the lower left stares blankly forward at the other side of the panel, Jimmy Olsen and Clark Kent speak. Narration: "And when it's time to leave...." Jimmy has handed Clark a piece of paper and says, "I need experienced sartorial help, if I'm to the the best-dressed teen-ager in town! So put that ad in the DAILY PLANET for me, willl you?" Clark thinks, "A help wanted ad for a personal VALET? Whew. JIMMY'S really going high-hat on us!" Narration: But JIMMY is also heading for a real hard fall."
If I could harbor a guess...
No new blog post tomorrow.
Marvel's Nova is swimming to the upper right part of the panel in the ocean. He thinks, "My recuperative ability is INCREDIBLE. It must have come with getting my steel-hard super-skin.
Er, one foot tall. But yes, I guess I still associate "Thomas" with that show...
"Thomas" shorts used to air as part of "Shining Time Station" on PBS back in the day; the show about the people who work/hang out at a train station, with some magical one-inch-tall conductor (played by Ringo Starr, then George Carlin) narrating "Thomas" stories.
Can't recall off-hand the reverse happening here (UK ads airing as-is). There's been a few UK kids shows with American voice actors dubbing over/Americanized terms, such as "Bob the Builder" (though the UK version apparently aired here anyway, per Wikipedia).
If boycotting streaming services that are toadying to Trump in some fashion, that doesn't seem to leave many options, as they've all done such to varying degrees. Thus, my guesses for the *least* problematic for animation outlets: Netflix; Crunchyroll; PBS Kids; the library (Hoopla/Kanopy/DVDs).
Current iMac line, now multicolored.
The current iMacs come in multiple colors (but still flat screen-based), if that helps? 😀
I see. You don't get many ads there with US narrators?
