I remember doing the Grand Canyon 'you will die' hike, rim to river to rim in a day & not knowing what we wanted to eat afterwards. Settled on pizza but they also had big bottles of Arrogant Bastard so that was us sorted π

Solar for the win. We're still learning, but our 12 panels & 2 batteries have exceeded our expectations so far. Wish we'd gone bigger to be honest.
Finally switching over to a 'feed in' type tariff with EDF.
The last month we've used 2kw day, 3kw night, so 92p of electricity, & half was by mistake, as the batteries can only discharge 3.5kw, so if you have the water on & oven you can go over! Gas is well down too by using the immersion heater
So, how much does it cost to put a GBBF on then ? Just curious in case there is a cask loving lottery winner out there.
Is your bike broken ? π
Enjoying the sunshine in what could be best described as a pre taper taper π

We often stop at Bar Barnard and St Sixtus for a beer on the same ride when staying in Westouter.
From St B if you turn right, towards the coast passed the hop field the church in the distance is Watou, maybe 2km. It's not big but some great restaurants & a couple of good bars.
Brewing is just off the main square in Watou & also in Bozinge nr Ieper, under the name Leroy, not open to the public though. History dates back to 1572 via various name & family changes.
If only BlueSky had smell-a-vision.
Fabulous thread Fin π
Normandy & then Brittany in just 2 weeks so not all is lost π
Westouter as well, we have to wait until July.
Hard to believe that Sagan's winning speed/time in 2018 would have meant he'd have missed the time cut in this years insane race! {courtesy Lucas Cycling Blog}

It wasn't all good news for Belgium, did you see the WRC rallying ? Victory snatched on final stage from Thierry Neuville.
French beers for a French race #Paris-Roubaix but a Belgium legend wins π Probably the most popular winner there could have been, Wout van Aert, I have dust in my eyes, I'm so happy π

Chaos!
A lot of places know how to cash in on tourists and the Westy reputation. How was PR ?
That's so funny... Beerbabe & I moved in together in 1986, the weekend after we had both finished that years RAC Rally. We went straight to the shops & purchased a cheap microwave oven, & guess what ? it's still our microwave today nearly 40 years later π
Let's go Lightning. Great to see the Bolts game live on ITV4 2night. We've been fans since they were an expansion team in the 92/93 season & we're lucky to actually be at the famous Gretzky vs Gretzky game on Oct 20th 1993 against the LA Kings.
Some if not most EVs weigh so much they've getting into HGV territory, no wonder our roads are crumbling away. Mind you there are lots of little lanes that should be left to go back to being ByWays to save on costs.
