I think the raid names have mostly been saved for the latter ones, but I think there were some exceptions...I know Myths of The Realm was shown off during the EW one, but again, that one was a very special case

i've seen "it would really stick it to the devs if we left bsky" posts & no it wouldn't. they want this web site to be boring crypto idiots who cool their phones off in pools chatting with AI reply bots. instead they have to put up with us and that's deeply funny

Krile was not in the first trailer. Endwalker was a special case as it had numerous alterations due to covid

I definitely think it's worth hoping if they'll outline a major shift for the game, as we're definitely getting to that point somewhat

But for the really meaty stuff we will need to wait several months yet for Berlin and Tokyo

It's still so crazy that in 2024 a huge chunk of bsky's userbase hit a peak of "we're ready to pay subscriptions for bigger features and support the platform, just tell us when it drops 🫡" and then within six months the Bsky team gleefully cut through all that good will with surgical precision

I think there's a nice edge to having a game ask you personal questions just...for fun's sake

it's kinda refreshing being able to fill a world full of personal tidbits without the fear of where they're going

mmm, I don't think that was quite it, the outfits were very limited. It was fun getting titles and unique dialogue for online matches but I wouldn't say the outfits were trainer classes per se

outside of maybe unlocking player titles I am shocked Pokemon never really lets you dress like the trainer classes

another big offender in my childhood is RuneScape, which LOVES to have armor and weapons exclusive to NPCs

I think a lot of gamedevs underestimate the value of "that's so fucking cool, I wanna be that" in their games

seeing a cool dark mage or a knight or even just looking at the trainer classes in Pokemon for example

I think letting players unlock classes/outfits of cool NPCs is super slept on
