Yes, my understanding is that Hachette is the only big 5 who has publicly said a firm no to AI-written manuscripts. Wonder why the others haven’t? πŸ€”

Ohhh wow. I just read the premise of the story you're reading -- goodness! A Coup of Tea sounds awesome! I'm going to see if I can find the audiobook of it - found it via Audible - I don't believe I've read / listened to Gaslamp before either - 3x of these lovelies are released. Added it! πŸ‘πŸ‘

I've been in such a reading rut lately - finally able to jump start my return by listening to a captivating audiobook called Half-Life Empire - the narrator is wicked good at giving me a wicked good listen with a character who is as spunky as she has snarkified humour! Laughs. Top cheers to us both!

#amlistening to the #audiobook narrated by Diana Richardson. She has the spunk, and the snarky humour of Kita nailed. Kita is living through an incredible moment in her life and this world is lethal just to survive! It is the perfect diversion for me and beyond engaging!

Hallo, Hallo dear hearts,

I have been in such a readerly rut lately - too much on my heart/mind to properly focus on STORIES. Sad yet true πŸ˜”I knew I needed to pull myself out of this FUNK and guess what? The Half-Life Empire by @gameoverstation.bsky.social is just the kind of STORY I need right now

I am so wicked happy to have found I.M. Foster's series (ie. The South Shores #Mysteries) as they're #CosyCrime #HistoricalMysteries - full of intrigue & drama - the kind which keep you up at night! I *devoured!* the first book already!

Thanks for this!! 😍I'm quite literally dead on my feet lately from work and I never had the chance to even scope out the US release dates! πŸ˜’This gives me a good deadline - I am truly hoping to have read your first novel & the first #JinYong novel w/in the timeline of the new film releasing!πŸ€—πŸ™Œ

For new & hot #wuxia movie, watch out for #LegendoftheCondorHeroes, which is coming to US cinemas on FEB. 21. It's the newest adaptation from a classic novel by #JinYong.
For novels with #wuxiaxianxia tropes and vibes, try the #SwordMaidenfromtheMoon duology ( #TheHeavenlySword + #TheEarthlyBlaze ).

Or, feel elated that they felt they had to make an exception to that rule and include *11!* books which elevated the category and celebrated its merits! There are different ways of looking at that - and for me, I'm celebrating the fact *both!* your novels made the cut! πŸ˜πŸŽ‰

Both #TheHeavenlySword and #TheEarthlyBlaze are 2024 #IndieInkAwards finalists! I feel honored but at the same time a bit embarrassed, because there were only a total of 11 nominees in this category and their rule is to pick 10 finalists! It just shows how neglected the category is πŸ˜—

I've finally decided to take time out to write my End of the Year Survey for books read &/or partially read today; it has been a rather chill day free of work and just a relaxing into the hours to sort out thoughts/ruminations; plus, of course, looking ahead towards the NY too! Will read yours soon

I've been spending my leisure Sunday enjoying listening to music via #Spotify and sorting out thoughts on my bookish journey over the past twelvemonths as I blog my Year End Survey inspired by @brokeandbookish.bsky.social It is a tradition I've not maintained and one that I have missed! πŸ’œπŸ¦

In the beginning, I had to tilt my eyes up/down to see at the different ranges. After about three to four weeks, I started to notice I wasn't doing that as much - my mind/eyes were syncing faster and were making the adjustments to which range I needed & when automatically; unless I'm tired! 4/4

I sometimes forget to switch to the readers; but they help loads for reading long stretches of time whilst also I am hopeful will help with knitting, too, as it is for close work; I bought them as a pair on Zenni. I do know they don't always work for everyone but I was thankful they did for me. 3/4

range you can have for Progressives? Meaning, the lens themselves has the Progressive bits in a fuller scope of the glasses than usual. I figured I needed as much of that as I could get. Thankfully the price point was 75% less than my doctor's estimated cost! I also have a pair of readers, too 2/4

I've been in Progressive since January (of this year) - for me, I was worried my mind/eyes wouldn't sync but when I went back to work with them on for the first time - goodness! It was like my whole world opened up to me! I have a pair from Zenni Optical - where I took advantage of the fuller 1/4

I've been following the Alien Beer #podcast files on #Spotify as that platform is working for me - I've been trying to see if other pods I enjoy are on there as well; it has become a good resource for me in respect to music, pods and audiobooks!πŸ˜‰

Oh my! What an adrenaline rush reading the Honor Bound series is by @annajwriter.bsky.social !! I am completely consumed by the pace and action of where I am with the series - I especially am loving the continuity of it whilst stepping into the lives of different characters with each new installment
