I think it's kind of indicative of people being sick and tired of squeakers on VRC. I expect that most trolls are under 18 😅
But also laws are already in place in the UK and some US states. VRC could fight it, but with what money?
Is that right? Should we always automatically assume? No, we shouldn't. But people will, because the devs have already made their stance clear about it.

Maybe I phrased myself wrong: I don't think it's fair to the devs to shit on them and continue to claim it's because of vibe coding now that we know it's a DDOS.
But they broke a social contract by using LLMs, and people in general are going to continue to shit on them over it no matter what.
Once someone starts using LLMs and is known for using them, there's no trust anymore in that person or company. Everything is going to be blamed on that.
Do they deserve that? No probably not. Security work and unpaid overtime sucks. But they also kinda did it to themselves 😅

Yeah, it kinda sucks. I'm a bit jealous when I hear what UK and EU creators can get by on 😅 The US economy isn't made with creators or self employed in mind and we all suffer for it
But like someone else said, life here is just so expensive they we may not make enough to set aside for taxes 😞
It's... Complicated. We pay at any income, but how much is based on how much we've made
So like our first X amount is taxed at 10%, then 12% beyond that, then more at higher amounts.
We can generally pay from Feb-April, and can even apply for extensions or payment plans
In some places they have festivals, but in the Midwest they announce the beginning of Spring by awakening you in the middle of the night with festive tornado sirens. 🌻
