The New York Times reports that the Department of Homeland Security has sent Google, Meta, and other media corporations subpoenas for the names on accounts that criticize ICE enforcement. The department wants to identify Americans who oppose what it’s doing. I’ll save them time.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

No number of pardons or lies will change what happened on January 6. Donald Trump can’t change history. It was domestic terrorism, it was treason, plain and simple.
Excellent point. I’m sympathetic to their infrastructure not being the same as the north. But I feel like the throw-in-the-towel approach thus far of “well we can’t plow, can’t salt, let’s just all stay home and close the roads!” isn’t the only feasible approach. Do some trial runs of something!
Trump’s Inaugural address was ego driven, long on boasts, & short on detail. No outreach for help to Democrats or Congress. His rhetoric won’t make groceries, rent, or prescriptions more affordable. His tariff gimmick taxes American families. Delivering a speech is easy, getting results is not.
