IHOP is a great idea. I love IHOP but haven’t been in years. I don’t know what super tasting is like but ugh, I can imagine the mixture being awful for you, I’m sorry. Luckily for me it just tasted like apple juice. The hardest part was just being so full of liquid.

Please get a colonoscopy as soon as you turn 45 and if you have any bleeding when you poop ask your doctor for one now. It’s so easy to fix if you catch it early!

Update for awareness part 3

Well it turns out I have cancer after all 😅

Just had surgery to remove part of my colon and everything went well! Feel so much better today and hopefully going home tomorrow. Doc still has to look at lymph nodes so I may need some chemo but I feel good about everything.

Yes great mention! I actually did Cologuard first and it came back positive which prompted colonoscopy but yeah it’s a great first step. My friends and I joked a lot about me pooping in the cute cartoon box from the commercial 😆

Also consume lots of fiber! I was doing the gummies but doc said those are mostly useless so I’ve switched to the powder. A fiber-rich diet can help reduce risk a lot. I wish I knew that 10 years ago!

She said it had been “cooking for a while” lol and definitely would have become cancerous in another 3–5 years.

Reminder to get screened as early as possible!

Just had my second colonoscopy (this one with EMR) to remove a larger polyp that couldn’t be removed during my first one. Everything went well! Doc still has to review to make sure there is no cancer but she feels good about it.
