I’ve been thinking about my aunt and my mom so much lately, and this is crazy, but last night I had a dream about my mom for the first time in years. It felt so real, for a minute it was like she was still alive. I hugged her and told her I loved her, then I just woke up. It hurt but was really nice

Thanks! ❤️ Grief is the worst, I hadn’t felt that awful since my mom died, it brought up a lot of old feelings. The art review sucked anyway, but it definitely could’ve been timed better. All the hugs to you too, I hope you’re doing okay, I know you must still be hurting so much from losing your dad.

That’s my mom on the left, who’s also passed, and then me and my aunt Linda, two of my cousins, and my brother. Such a cute picture, I just found it recently.

It’s been a long couple months for me, my aunt Linda died in April and it’s been really tough, we were close. I also turned 30. And the other day I got a pretty scathing portfolio review by a big comics publisher, I’ve been working on my art though and definitely trying to grow from the critique.

This is a sketch I did back in 2019 based on the book ‘Dark Matter’ by Blake Crouch. This is how I envisioned The Box! They’ve made a TV show adaptation on Apple TV, and it’s super good so far!
