I share a birthday with this image. A few years later, I was, but it was shot on the same calendar day.

Alternate Sequels to Star Wars: A Ralph McQuarrie painting each for Splinter of the Mind's Eye, out in 1978, and a poster for the NPR radio drama version of The Empire Strikes Back, broadcast in 1983, which really was pretty good.

An early Preproduction painting of Alderaan, and a later drawing of the Cloud City at Bespin, which it became, both by Ralph McQuarrie.

She was acting because she wanted to. Her parents supported that decision, and so fostered her pursuits. Later she fell in love and started a family, and they got priority; a very good reason for the rest of the world's loss.

Wyman is good in this - better than the posters, for sure. Not pictured in any of these is Alistair Sim, who really ties the room together. We also get to see the much deprived from Hollywood Pat Hitchcock, who's great in a small role here, and would later be wonderful in Strangers on a Train.
