I'm not "afraid of thinking" but I am afraid of how bad many people are at it. Exposure to bad ideas is probably the second biggest factor (after personality) that contributes to extremist politics.

You handled the Twitter Men™ beautifully. I don't know you but I'm proud of you 🥹
It won't matter if the left doesn't get their own narrative into the information ecosystem. Facts and statistics don't matter.

Hey gurl how's it going?
This site is just like Twitter!
Yet you took the time to comment. Why?

The left needs to start controlling the information environment. The dogged adherence to appearing unbiased, when your opponent openly embraces bias, is untenable.

Populist vs establishment orientation is becoming more salient than left vs right.
Yeah I think there's a trade-off. Less interaction leads to less conflict, but also limits the exchange of ideas.
I thought about this too. Might cool things down. Reddit is probably a good example of what that looks like tho and reddit is cancer.
I am a classic woman tbh
Neutrality honestly. But nobody actually wants that.
Yeah it's definitely the fault of the insane moderation on Twitter but I wonder if the days of platforms being incentivized to moderate in a relatively unbiased way are over.
My biggest concern about this platform, assuming it actually takes off, is that it seems undeniably bad for the left and right to separate into discrete little echo chambers. I don't see how this doesn't make the "multiple realities" issue worse.
I been called a Karen for saying it's important to advocate for yourself at the doctor lol
