My favorite level is still hands down desert train, that’s like a top five in the series moment for me I think. Short, rather simple, but such an effective setpiece.

I feel like my order for the series so far is 3 > 2=4 > 1

-even my most egypt-obsessed childhood enthusiasm couldn’t get excited about jumping across another giant hole outside of the great pyramid, or scaling it for the like third time, or shooting yet another giant scarab or scorpiona ahaha

- I thought it was really cool that you could see the “strata” of history in Alexandria- modern houses built on top of greek ruins built on top of egyptian ruins. I do, however, feel like the game starts to overstay its welcome in Cairo and Giza, with areas becoming hard to distinguish from e/o

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Remastered- this was pretty good! I think the first half is really really strong, especially Alexandria. The way they tried to play with the level structure, going from linear levels to larger environments stitched together by loading screens, was a cool risk
