The ones last year grew beautifully and had zero pests. No spider mites. No white flies. Nothing, just incredible lush green or tart buds which had this beautiful orange scent and tint 🤩

I‘m interested about how their experience was with the NPT coming into force.

Followed to a train station 30min away from said park.

One of the safest parks worldwide. The restrooms there are open and clean and for free. In a beautiful park near a clinic I am at frequently.

Drugs are a reality. We already have working distribution facilities with pharmacies and doctors.

In the past year I have walked up to two men talking in a park adjacent to the airport in Zurich.
One of them was a South African. The other a Nigerian. Both were very, very well dressed. It was extremely strange how they reacted at me coming round the corner and I could swear I was followed after.

Clarification: I‘m not and never was in the program

Do I personally know people who have profited from the program? Yes

Have I personally lost people to drug use?
Yes, I lost a friend from school when I was under 18 to heroin.

Once I found a used syringe without cap in the napkin box in the toilet a train (1998-2003?).

We had an open drug scene in our larger cities in Switzerland. People still use drugs here. Nothing has changed from that perspective, but quality of life has improved for those who live with dependency.

There are safeguards to this program, it has saved thousands here in one way or another. Thousands. Many are back in paid employment too.

Isn’t that a win? You decide. Compassion is the only way we can achieve improvement. The war was lost on day one.

The only 'win' ever made in the war on drugs has been the Swiss heroin distribution program.

Nothing else I know of has improved lives like the program here where we have legal (!) dia-morphine as a registered drug and a process that allows us to distribute it.

There are Iranian-connected groups in South America coordinating their operations with others there. South and Central Americans cartels. Organisations based in Asia, West and East. Oceania. Everywhere.

It is a reality.

Certain substances are dealt in amounts which were breathtaking in the 1980s and it hasn’t changed but in one direction since then. They are untaxed and, in few cases, a menace to society.

Any regime interested in destabilising and undermining a democracy can flood it with drugs and make a killing.

I‘m not surprised anymore by the fact that most of our societies have no idea about this topic and do not discuss anymore if the war on drugs can ever be won.

It could, but only when something replaces drugs.

Thereafter, there may be a war against what replaces drugs..

I recall reading articles by him on Ukraine more than ten years ago and being disappointed.

People like him believe they could rule in a soviet-CCP-like system, completely forgetting that there may be others who are even more ruthless than they ever imagined.

They’d be retouched from photos too.

Those you described before are rather unsuccessful politicians in office. Fascinating how this applies internationally.
