The part where they conclude “it’s divisive politics” sends me every time

Also visited my apartment where I lived 2003-2005. On the other side of that circled window in 2004 I sat playing Sims 2 and realized I was putting more work into the career of my sim than my own real life. Applied to grad school not long after and here we are. Thanks Sims!
On Saturday I went to an incredible Kings game and so now I’m a Kings fan. I should probably go to a Rangers game when I get back home so I can become a Rangers fan.
4 days in LA seeing old and new friends was a much needed “break” but now I’m completely exhausted and have lost my voice.
He's mad that someone else came up with a grift he doesn't benefit from
International Journal of Gastronomy and Food Science To.* Invitation to review for International Journal of Gastronomy and Food Science Manuscript Number: * The Creative Transgression Curve: A Heuristic Framework for Culinary Innovation in Gastronomy Dear Holbert, I would like to invite you to review the above referenced manuscript as I believe it falls within your expertise and interest. The abstract for this manuscript is included below.
Incredible. Not sure how I got on the reviewer list for the International Journal of Gastronomy and Food Science, but that’s an all-timer academic nonsense title.

1 in 10 Google AI search summaries are wrong (google’s own internal testing of Gemini puts it closer to 1 in 4). Using AI as a question and answer machine—like 99% of AI-based ed tech—is choosing misinformation.

Not committing genocide is good, but we don’t have to hand it to him. ITMFA
My theory is these assholes just like the sound of certain phrases, “like nothing the world has seen before,” “locked and loaded,” “no mercy”… the problem is they are also dumb fucks that are just as likely to act out these phrases as say them.
Only a master deal maker could achieve the status quo of 5 weeks ago in exchange for accomplishing nothing of value and turning his country into a global pariah. Thank you sir

Everybody gets a free pass on nuclear holocaust day
I made the mistake of expressing a sincere thought to a stranger on the internet. Rookie mistake honestly that’s on me.
Probably right. But in the past there have been good things taxes dollars have funded—things I genuinely think matter! Provided a layer of abstraction for bullshitting ourselves out of the moral conundrum
Perhaps because I made so little $ during the Bush years I could easily ignore the concept of taxes, but this is the first time in my life where paying taxes feels like it only adds evil into the world.

I always feel like a complete nonsensical goober when I make these calls too. But it helps a tiny bit when I realize the thing we're calling about is so off the charts insane and vile that any effort to speak up, no matter how bumbling, is a heroic act.
Let me say this plainly: Iranian children have as much of a right to live and thrive as American children.
Their babies MUST be as precious to me as my 6 niblings and my baby grandnib are IF I want them to have a future.
If I want a future for my kin AND humanity, I MUST act like it.
So must you.
Called all 3, got through to 1. That need to hear from us, folks. This is not the legacy I want for my mods or my students.
Whether it's bluster or not is irrelevant. We cannot be a country led by madmen that threaten genocide every time they embarrass themselves.
Great day to make some calls to your elected representatives. Got through to actual people on 2 of my 3 calls. 5calls.org/issue/stop-i...
Armageddon is terrible, but our only other option was diversity trainings at work.
Captured by the Artemis II crew during their lunar flyby on April 6, 2026, this image shows the Moon fully eclipsing the Sun. From the crew’s perspective, the Moon appears large enough to completely block the Sun, creating nearly 54 minutes of totality and extending the view far beyond what is possible from Earth. The corona forms a glowing halo around the dark lunar disk, revealing details of the Sun’s outer atmosphere typically hidden by its brightness. Also visible are stars, typically too faint to see when imaging the Moon, but with the Moon in darkness stars are readily imaged. This unique vantage point provides both a striking visual and a valuable opportunity for astronauts to document and describe the corona during humanity’s return to deep space. The faint glow of the nearside of the Moon is visible in this image, having been illuminated by light reflected off the Earth. [alt text from NASA]
The #Artemis II astronauts said they needed more superlatives to describe their view of the eclipse, when the Sun was behind the Moon and its near surface was faintly illuminated by Earthshine
Mamdani is not just filling the potholes with the crew. He's creating a visual and personal reminder of the dignity inherent in all of these anonymous government jobs.
