Katy claps her hands with a grin.

She really wasn't expecting him to eat that right away. Her round cheeks were a bit flushed as she watched his expression while he ate.
"So um..what do you think of the cake?"

I had a reply waiting for me here and it's been 16 days. I'm so sorry Looker!
"I hope he likes the cake.." she mutters softly to herself. Katy placed a gloved hand on her warm cheek.
Of course, there was a reason why she gave him something made with cinnamon.
Although. . .if he didn't know, she had a feeling she would have to embarrass herself to explain why.
Katy held the cake over to him, feeling a tinge of warmth creeping over her cheeks.
"I wanted to give you a sample of a cake I'm going to have in the window soon. It's a cinnamon roll cheesecake. I hope you like it."
It was a cinnamon roll cheesecake, well at least a slice of it anyway. She wasn't sure if he would even want a full cake to share with his Pokemon. The cake was in a small plastic container with a white lid that had a Teddiursa on it.

"Oh, that's perfectly fine! I can only imagine how busy you've been."
She waves a dismissive hand, giving a small smile as she prepared herself. Katy then showed him the dish she held behind her back.

Katy has noticed that Looker is around again. She has a knot or two in her stomach but she has to at least. Swallowing a nervous breath, she held a dish behind her back as she gave his arm a light tap.
"Pardon me, Looker. Do you have a moment?"

After returning to Paldea, Katy tried to keep the words Rika told her to heart.
She would do her best to finish her usual quota before glancing at her event calendar. She saw that she was free in two weeks.
That's when she'll shoot for a date. After all, what did she have to lose?
Katy gives Rika a light nudge of her arm, "Hey, you never know. For all we know, I may still be single. I don't know how things are going to work out. I'm going to give a guess that you are going to want to stay updated, huh?"
Yeah, because she opened her big mouth.
Katy may have been a little slow on the upkeep for Rika's train of thought. She tilted her head a little.
"What do you mean by that?"
Katy gave her friend a half smile.
"I suppose you have a good point. Start small and up from there. I can ask him to maybe go for a walk for starters when we get back to Paldea.."
"Are you sure? What if he turns me down..?"
Katy twisted the ends of her hair, shifting her gaze to the side. She wasn't quite sure how to feel about her crush, what with her doubt in confidence.
"I'm not sure if it's worth the risk."
Her face, if possible, grew to a darker shade of red.
"Yeah. He always makes conversation and not just about the basic stuff, either."
Katy runs her hands down her face.
"I think I'm in too deep. I've just been too nervous to ask him out. It's kind of embarrassing.." She admitted.
With all of the guests on his guest list accounted for, Leon was handed a microphone and gave it a light tap to gather the attention of those present.

Katy just covers her flushed cheeks as she groaned under her breath.
"It's so embarrassing to admit that I have a crush on someone who picks my favorites..when it comes to pastries that I made."
"I don't know why he does that either." She mutters with a soft sigh.
"Every day, he asks me what's my favorite thing that's on my display and orders just that, including my own personal fixings on them. I believe he works for the international police service."

Having the confirmation that Rika wouldn't tease, she hesitated a little longer before she took the risk to say something.
"W-well there's a gentleman by the name of Looker. He comes by just about every morning for coffee and my favorite pastries for the day."

Katy pouted.
"Promise you won't poke fun.."
Katy looked to the side, a dark flush creeping over her cheeks.
"W-well..there was someone I wanted to come with but he was busy. I didn't want to interfere with his work, despite how fond he was of my baking.."
"I agree. I'm kind of glad I don't need to deal with that mess. I've got enough on my plate. Between my bakery and gym, I'm too busy to bother romantic mingling.
Besides, there are better people to spend that sort of time with than someone who spends time with bug types and sugar all day."
"I love your suit, by the way." She says with a small smile.
"Aw. Well, I suppose it's not that bad. We get to hang out together without having any work obligations. Plus, a free three day weekend!
I finally have an excuse to drink a little.."
Taking a seat beside Rika, Katy sat down and placed her PokΓ©mons food down so she could eat.

Katy looks over to see a table where a Frosmoth and Snorlax were alone, eating.
"Who's PokΓ©mon..? Oh wait.."
A sly grin crept over her lips, followed by a soft giggle.
"Oh @adamofdarkness.bsky.social, you sly dog. How very sneaky of you.."
Katy is lowkey giggling right now.
"Oh Rika! It's good to see you too."
She glances around the area near Rika.
"Do you mind if I sit with you?"
Katy held a small plate of strawberries and another plate of curry.
The curry was for her Ursiring.
Let's get you something to eat. I know you've been waiting a while to munch on."
Giving them both a wave, Katy left the pair as she led her partner to get something to eat towards the red table. Having a hungry Ursiring for a long time probably wasn't a good idea.
Behind her, Ursiring growled softly before resting her head on Katy's shoulder. The action alone was enough to earn a giggle from the woman.
"Oh dear. It looks like someone has a hungry bug." She scratches her partner's head behind her ears. "I'll catch up with you two later. Come on girl..+
