Wisteria held a scroll in her hand when it happened, shocked by the pull before looking over in confusion.
"Love?" She called out, reaching over to pat her head and brush her hair, "Is something the matter, dear?"

...mafia?
Wisteria still had a hard time wrapping her head around it but she's glad Denji recognizes Yingzi still.
"I see." She squeezed his arm, "What...happened exactly? Last I checked, you were living with Yingzi? Or did I hear wrong?"
She decided to ask an ambiguous question, hoping to hear—

Wisteria chuckled, watching as the steam nearly covered the whole bathroom...
And all that's left in that little room is them while the rest of the world sleeps...
...
Wisteria chuckled and took some of the shampoo to wash her hair, "Okay, well, how would you want me to ask you anyways? What exact words...would you like to hear?"
She's teasing. She's always like this and, well, the current scene is making it rather more intimate than it sounds...
Wisteria blushed and hummed, moving closer— Like real close, smiling, "How nicely?"
She chuckled, reaching over slowly with a knowing smile...
...to pluck the shampoo by the rack beside Proton.
Wisteria chuckled, "Is that not allowed?" She smiled and began to rinse herself with the water, "And if I do, what are you gonna do about it?" She snickered.
...is this what Jiaying feels like?
"I'm going to slam my head into the wall."
It's strange, having her own office and such as scroll after scroll, book after book, sat by her side with a quill, normal pens and pencils, and some stamps sitting at her right hand.
Wisteria felt so strange being here, back in the heavens... In the kingdom of the gods, doing paperwork.
"I'm dragging you back to shopping then." Wisteria huffed, looking across from him and taking note of his scars, his body, his shape and face and little imperfections...
Things she noticed before, things she hasn't.
Things he doesn't mind showing and yet she's the one hiding.
She wondered how much has changed. What exactly changed? What is missing other than his eye? Why does he look and feel the way he does?
"...are you still a devilhunter? Has Makimoto not let go yet? I know he has control over Yingzi but you..." She sighed, "They atleast should raise your pay."
Looking around, Wisteria stared as she realized how much the city has...reverted. Or it felt that way. She's not sure...
"I do." She reassured, checking the time, "Well, it is lunch time. How about we hit some food to go and look around Shibuya? They have loads of stuff to see there."
"Fair but still, the time you weren't working, you refused to change at all!" Wisteria paused and smiled, casually handing him her clothes before slipping into the bath with a sigh.
"Ahhh, now that's a bath...~"
The crow is satisfied.
At that, she cackled and began to walk his pace, "You and Yingzi have been hanging out so much and since this is a rare opportunity for me, being in a break and all, I want to spend the day with my adopted son too!"
It's the least she could do.
"So what do you wanna do, Denji? It can be anything!"
...oh.
No wonder she felt that disturbance.
'...maybe. I must really be getting old.' She sighed, masking the heavy feeling as she hopped off and turned human then and there.
Turning to Denji, Wisteria smiled and looped her arm around his, "You're not working right now, yes? I'm kidnapping you."
Wisteria chuckled, relaxing as she moved to tend to the tub again, "I'm glad you think so then. It was fun...trying to force your ass to bathe."
She rolled her eyes a bit, snickering, "Have you atleast made it a habit to find something else to wear other than your uniform?"

"Yeah... Wait, didn't I just force you to bathe or have we actually taken a bath together?" Wisteria asked, closing the door behind them before taking off her robe, hanging it up without a bat of an eye, "I know you only saw my scars though."
Wisteria laughed a bit, her worry from before fading for a bit as she relaxed, "I will stay. I promise. And yes, we can share a bath together if you're really okay with it."
She smiled, following him to the bathroom...
Wisteria nodded and held him a few more seconds before slowly letting go, "Okay, if...if that's what you think so but I'm not going anywhere this time. I promise."
She reassured, hand sliding from his arm to intertwine with his fingers, "Offer still stands." She gestured to the bathroom.
This kind of pain is from a long life of betrayal and distrust—the crow became one of them and she recognized it, adding onto the knives stabbed in his back.
"Let me change it for you. I want to be someone that came back, if you'd let me."
Her heart hurt immediately at hearing that and she reached over, gently pulling him in a tight embrace...
"I'm so sorry, Proton." She apologized, squeezing him a bit, "I'm so sorry I let you down. I never should have done that. I never should have hurt you."
Wisteria grabbed it immediately and sniffed it, staring, "......Denji, these are baked doggy snacks."
"Uh...brownies...right? Please tell me those are brownies."
"I never should have left. I never had a good reason to. I don't know why I did but I just know that maybe some part of you was hurt that I did."
She wasn't sure but she still regretted it—cutting herself off from this world. From him.
"...were you hurt?"
"Even if that's your wish and your belief, I'll always be worrying, Proton." She whispered earnestly, still not letting go as she looked at him.
"I always worried, even if I was so far away. Even when I left, when I shouldn't have, I was...thinking of you." The crow admitted, grasp tightening.
In this silent night where it's just the two of them, Wisteria still felt the guilt. Not only did she put him through danger once, she did it twice with such a spell that invited someone to know him and heal him.
They're worlds apart and she's so careless.
She won't be this time. For him.
...Wisteria took his arm gently, noticing how heavy and burdened he seemed.
"Do you want me to help?"
It was a sudden offer and she squeezed his arm like a plead, one born from genuine care.
She doesn't know where these feelings are coming from but blue eyes stared at where she held him.
