Important to understand that Sinclair, Nexstar, and Tenga are the local TV Oligarchy. They are increasingly looking to buy each other up until all US local TV is controlled by one company. They need a compliant FCC for this.

Jon Oliver did an excellent episode back in 2018 featuring Sinclair.

Said some things on the WGAW podcast about bringing film & TV productions back to California. Take a listen/watch and make a drinking game out of how many times i say “concern.” 🤭

Hey, hey, come here. Sit down.

You need some good news this morning? Close your eyes... wait, don't, cause you gotta read this. Take a deep breath, and realize--

No one's talking about NFTs anymore. No one. They're dead.

*Now* close your eyes and enjoy that thought.

Most people conflate charity with mutual aid, but charity often identifies the “deserving poor” vs the “undeserving poor.” That’s just one of the major distinctions.

#StayinLA Help Rebuild LA’s Production Industry The Palisades and Eaton Fires have deepened the crisis for LA’s film/TV workers, small businesses, and families. We need emergency incentives to bring production ...

In the wake of the fires, LA production is hurting even more than before. People can’t afford to live here if there isn’t work here.

Sign our petition at the link in bio STAYinLA.org and share #STAYinLA widely. (And thank you to hireyoungprofessionals.com for designing our campaign!)

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

To LA County wildfire survivors:

If you get a “not approved” letter from FEMA, don’t stop there – it doesn’t mean you’re out of options.

FEMA might just need more info, like insurance details or proof of residence.

Writers Guild Calls on Studios to Take “Immediate Legal Action” Against AI Companies The union is arguing that tech companies "looted the studios’ intellectual property" while Hollywood's major companies stood by.

It’s time for the studios to come off the sidelines. After this industry has spent decades fighting piracy, it cannot stand idly by while tech companies steal full libraries of content for their own financial gain.

For folks working with #Hollywood support staff (PAs, assistants, coordinators, in any and all departments) - please remember the bulk of support staff ARE NOT PAID through the Christmas holidays. Please consider gifting cash to your assistants (if you are financially able). 1/3
