Loads of great (including funny) stories Graham about the making of the Crossing never told before..
They've shrunk a bit over the years haven't they?
This was excellent, could not put it down. Beautifully written by
Scott Rowley, and he was also respectful over the suicide by not going into much detail.
I really liked the previous biography by Allan Glen, this is better.

In Laurie Lee's local π:
Official biography.
Great stuff!
Started this - absolutely superb..
We're getting there! Give it a few years.. π
P.s. good luck tonight π€.
But underneath All Mod Cons I guess..
In Marr's excellent autobiography..
Johnny being the lovely guy he is didn't let it get to him and let it go..
A good shout..
Did You know Mac used a Marr riff (that he'd written for their collaboration) on Nothing Lasts Forever and didn't credit him?!
2) probably is Mac probably made this up to cover the fact that the collaboration just wasn't that good, hence why he picked up the phone and rang Will not long after..
1)
For me Andy the singles were excellent with excellent b sides too and then the album was patchy. We saw them at Reading Festival - superb! 3 months later on the tour in Gloucester - something pretty wrong..
The story about the Mac / Marr mastertapes being stolen has got to be bollocks; truth
π
Absolutely, he's a soul genius, folk genius and indie genius. All before he could grow a beard π.

Two great shouts Martin, must give them another spin soon. MM wee bit samey would be my small criticism, HLHR has acoustic, Spanish guitar (!), indie guitar etc.
! not ?.
That's what I said? π. I think Dougie's right @martinharris15.bsky.social π.
Rattlesnakes is a contender too though for me..
You missed π: Many thanks for HLHR tip, and it came on Sat when Rosa was working π; Martin and I were wondering, off the top of your head, what you thought the greatest debut LP of all time was..
Do I unfollow or mute the old one Dougie?
@douglashartley.bsky.social I think you've been hacked in Twitter Dougie, loads of weird messages being sent from yr account

Where are we?
Still beautiful, aptly titled! This 12" version remains the definitive version in my humble, also a superior version of Shellshock.
Some of Saville's best artwork too π.
Another Factory cock-up here: The ' Temptation original version' isn't, it's the Substance versionπ! I miss F though :(

I'm sure it is, perhaps come out then with the time - honoured " musical differences". Instead he snapped at me "I didn't leave, I broke the band up" which isn't true, they're still going.
Good stuff.
Saw him on this tour in Cheltenham, it was excellent until I asked him in the q and a session why he left flc, he was really dicky. Shame, left a bad taste in the mouth.
Cheers man, will do.
What's her best album?
