Ending with Roshar. My heart will always be with Roshar, the world most heavily and deeply explored by the books. Plus, you know. Adolin. And Kaladin. The list could go on.

Drominad system: Isles of Emberdark world! Iāve never really had thalassophobia (fear of deep water) but this world gives me a taste of it.
Iām not convinced this is worse than having to spend every moment of your life on the run from the sun, powered only by the souls of your loved ones who sacrificed themselves to buy you just a little more time.
It also figures that this story, probably the darkest one Iāve read from Sanderson, was part of a collection he wrote with GRR Martin.
Figures Odium is responsible for this (fought Ambition).
The Threnodite system: oh, I have been waiting for this one since The Sunlit Man!!
White Sand: Sanderson says right there he was reading a lot of Wheel of Time books while writing this. Aiel, the One Power. A bit of Dune influence. But I do agree a story about someone not particularly strong in the magic system is compelling.
The sand power is kind of like the aethers, because it requires water from the user?
Taldain: Single Shard, Autonomy, with a Darkside and a Dayside. Autonomy was the one trying to invade Scadrial, if Iām remembeeing correctly.
I read somewhere that Kelsier would like Kaladin, but Kaladin wouldnāt like Kelsier, which I think is a pretty excellent take on both characters.
Mistborn: Secret History: already read this one two, but itās amazing for, among many things, Kelsier and Hoid interacting. They hate each other and itās great.
Allomancer Jak isā¦a but much at all times. His Terris steward, Handerwym, on the other hand, is a jewel.
The Eleventh Metal: Gotta love a Kelsier story!
The tragedy of Mare is just so heartbreaking. Iām glad Kelsier eventually knew the truth, but itās still so sad.
Notes: Scadrial is one of two places where humanity did not predate the Shards (Ruin and Preservation, later Harmony).
The Scadrial orbit map makes me a bit nostalgic, since it has an old or it and a new orbit. Space-faring Scadrians have really put me off this world, but the actual current Mistborn books are wonderful.
Ok, the Postcript made it even better.
Ok, complete waste of an opportunity to insert a little more Hoid into Elantris! But it was a cute little story, Iāll give it that.
But wait! Possible Hoid story???
Weāre back in Elantris and Iām no more interested in this story than the book. Am I being too mean about this?
The Emperorās Soul: great read. Excellent short story.
āYou canāt manipulate people by being genuine.ā āYou canāt?ā Shai asked. āIs that not how youāve made your entire career? Speaking honestly, teaching people what to expect of you, then expecting them to be honest to you in return?ā
I need to make this my lifeās goal. How wonderful is that?
āIf you were the wall, what would you rather be? Dreary and dull, or alive with paint?ā āWalls canāt think!ā āThat doesnāt stop them from caring.ā
No, in truth, he hadnāt ever truly become despicable. He had been more complex than that. Every person was.
"It is easy to judge evil unmixed," replied Gwydion. "But, alas, in most of us good and bad are closely woven as the threads on a loom; greater wisdom than mine is needed for the judging.ā

(Favorite line from my favorite book!)
Become someone who can deal with this.
Shai and Shallan could do some group therapy together.
How dare he? Threatening to execute her was one thing, but insulting her art?
Priorities.
Forgery seems like a particularly tricky bit of magic. You have to go back in the history of a substance, come up with a plausible story for why it might, in fact, be something else? Its actual history, of that particular substance/item. Way more work than most of the magic in the cosmere.
My apologies. Not nerdy. Very practical, actually. Iām gonna go read some more now before I say anything else.
That little vein had been easy to miss, but if she was right about it, she had finally identified all forty-four types of rock in the wall of her circular pit of a prison cell.
Nerd!
Making my own notes:
Sel, one time home of Dominion and Devotion, now gone and their Investiture confined to the Cognitive Realm is known as the Dor. (Oh goodie, home of my least favorite story so far...)
