Good news today for the country's first National Monument devoted to the protection of biodiversity. After two losses in federal appeals courts, the timber industry sought a different ruling from #SCOTUS. Pleased to see SCOTUS deny the case and keep the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument intact.

Glad to see CO advance its wolf reintroduced efforts, and yet questions remain for capturing and relocating 10 wolves from Oregon. Wolf population numbers in OR have flatlined recently, and we don't know the impacts of dispersal after potentially losing 5% of the population. Definitely an experiment
It's #GivingTuesday, which has turned into one of the most impactful days for charitable giving nationwide. If you're looking to support the conservation of biodiversity, old-growth forests, and wild rivers, I encourage you to check out the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center!
It boggles my mind how some folks, whether in CAN or the US, equate forest road access to "freedom". I see this very issue playing out on public lands and national forests across rural SW Oregon and NW California. Of note: National Forests have more than 2x the miles than our national hwy system.
