The job market feels concerningly dry in the UK right now, but with a lot of people looking. Been searching since January and have been unsuccessful as of yet.

In my life I've never had this kind of problem when looking for new work.

Daredevil: Born Again is getting stupendously good.

Marvel is absolutely cooking with this season.

Pokémon Scarlet - The Teal Mask (DLC)

Forgot to add this the other day. Pokémon is at some of its best when it breaks away from formula and has a story focused around legendaries, other characters and lore.

Very enjoyable, albeit a bit short.

Pokemon Scarlet

This game has its problems. The open world design isn't great, some parts just don't feel polished at all. The game is too easy by ddefault.

I introduced some personal rules to make it more difficult and had a great time thanks to that, despite the game's shortcomings.

ughh so I just realised in the UK, there's basically no way to watch Spider-Man Far From Home or No Way Home on any streaming services.

Does anyone else who have cats have stress dreams where you’ve taken your cat to a public place, like a pub with loads of people, and just let it loose and you spend half your dream worrying about where the cat is?

Seems weird to me though that the models in Z-A don’t appear to be as detailed. I’m sure there’s a reason out there but it would be nice if they were the same as S/V.

Scarlet and Violet rightfully get criticised for their visuals among other things.

But the detail on each Pokemon model is spectacular.

Pokemon LeafGreen

This is a near perfect remake of the first generation. I’ve replayed this game many times and always love it. The ability to customise a playthrough with new teams always makes it feel refreshing.

This time I used a Nidoqueen and Dodrio for the first time ever.

Pokopia

Not going to say much about the story as that’s best experienced by the player - but overall wow. I thought this game was set up to fail.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s engaging, deep and seriously fun and addicted. Easily an early GOTY contender for me.

Resident Evil VII Biohazard

Quite a good game. Stronger in the first half, but overall I had a good time and a good few scares 😅

Somewhat frustrating in parts finding items or working out where to go, but I’d like to explore more of the series.

I had to do a couple of laps on Sonic Racing CrossWorlds after to bring me back down.

I started RE7 last night. Living room, all lights off, total darkness. Wheeeew.

Yeah, somehow it's a series I've avoided my entire life. I plan to do 7, 8 and 9 and then eventually go back to experience the rest.

I bought Resident Evil 7 last night and I am very excited to get stuck into it today as my first ever RE.

Sonic Superstars

Pretty awful Sonic game. Cheap deaths, too many boss fights that last too long. Awful final boss. Bad special stages.

Good physics, some good levels and nice moments. Good presentation. But overall just not very enjoyable. Time to move on.

People on BlueSky can be really miserable sometimes. I do enjoy this site but, oh my god it can be so exhausting.

Between LeafGreen, Xenoblade X Update, my general backlog, and maybe some Zelda/Mario announcements this year?

It really isn't a quiet one.

This whole soundtrack just takes me back to such lovely times in my life. Wish the original Red & Blue tracks were available too.

Just nostalgia, comfort, playing with friends and being a kid.
