Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day, we reflect on his legacy and remember when he was made an Honorary Doctor of Civil Law here at Newcastle in 1967.

Our commitment to equality remains strong, and we look forward to working with MLK's home city and its universities to honour his legacy.
