Ok well whenever Murray makes an outrageous shot like that at the half, wolves win the series. That's the rule.
Lol I love playoff basketball
Like it's genuinely insane.
I don't mind some random individual venting about abstention; people weigh political behavior in weird ways and I'm happy to redirect the conversation to something more productive. I do mind when one of the most powerful people in the world uses it to fan the flames. It's a ridiculous thing to do.
You both look fly, congratulations!
Either is unacceptable for someone who has been one of the most powerful people in the country for over a decade.
He's either making a moral argument, in which case he's laying the blame for 77 million votes at the feet of a small minority, or he's making a tactical argument, in which case he's admitting that it's fine that the fate of the world swings on a couple hundred thousand votes in the Midwest.
was the gamekeeper guy just standing there in the shadows all those years?

The dude is *still* mad about when Biden tried to cancel a bunch of student debt.
Romney is capable of a little more introspection than the median Republican legislator. What that means in practice is that his answer will begin with "well, as you know, I have been a staunch critic of President Trump..." before pivoting to someone banality about how both sides are too polarized.
I don't mean strategy just in terms of winning elections. I mean it as a way of generally conducting themselves in public and going about their lives. Because the alternative would require them to confront their complicity in astonishing levels of crime, corruption, idiocy, etc.
Yeah the strategy of 99% of Republicans is going to be to pretend that Trump never happened and that the Democrats held a supermajority from 2026-2028. When asked if he agrees and how he feels about AOC, Romney will acknowledge that Donald Trump existed.
I can't wait for CEO contracts to include a clause that Nilay saying "you know that's a bad answer, right?" in a Decoder interview results in instant forfeiture of their golden parachute.
One of my favorite things in the world is an institutional email where entire paragraphs have been copy-pasted from different sources. The goofier the better. Abrupt changes in voice, font or line spacing are all welcome in this inbox.
Can't wait to see the Steve Inskeep Aspiration bobblehead.

Don't make promises you can't keep is all we're saying. "I'll lower YOUR taxes" should be a very easy trap for Democrats to avoid.
Renate, we don't have an issue with anything except the last line of that post. Billionaires have too much money and influence and should be taxed through the nose, great. But it's still not going to be enough to fund the government programs we want without raising everyone else's taxes as well.
Oh come on, this is stupid, empty calorie stuff. You can't be running on tax cuts. It's bad policy and nobody ever believes Democrats when they say it. Dream combo right there.
I do request, though, that next time you just post the interview and register your actual objections instead of blasting out a link to a political gossip website notorious for playing fast and loose with context. You have a lot of credibility and 10K followers, this matters.
I like your dog.
I think it's a misleading representation of what she was trying to convey, but fine, we disagree.
You really think it's ambiguous? Do you think that "you should embrace Marjorie Taylor Greene" is a reasonable interpretation of what she said in the interview?
No I'm sure you're correct, it's just a funny thought. Is the pope repulsed by the idea of TurboTax like the rest of us? Does he ever look at his FICA contributions like "well, I won't be seeing a dime of that"? Did some Holy See accountant have to cram a bunch of American tax law this week?
Does he have to pay American income taxes on his Pope stipend?
Your description of MTG is accurate, but irrelevant to the question I asked.
I am asking a specific media literacy question: is she asking us to embrace MTG the person? Or is she asking us to make space for the one correct thing MTG has been willing to say that few other Republicans have?
Andy, do you think "Ilhan Omar pushes Democrats to embrace Marjorie Taylor Greene" accurately captures what she said?
