I've never been more proud of the console the Xbox team produced all those years ago, and its many updates. It was a special console and an amazing team.

We agonized over tone and terminology, provided preemptive user feedback to the engineering teams, and straddled marketing messages and engineering reality. The result was a UI that strived to be consistent, clear, and helpful.

Chances are, if you played Xbox 360 or Xbox One anytime in the last twenty years, you've read something that I wrote. If you don't remember a word, then we succeeded. We gave Xbox its voice, but that voice above all was designed to get you playing your next game.

Twenty years ago we released Xbox 360 to the world. My team had just spent the year writing the hardware manuals and UI text for the console, and it was extremely gratifying to know that millions of fans would come to know the console through the voice we had given it.

I am absolutely agog over the #HiddenCats series of games on #Xbox (and other platforms), the latest of which is Hidden Cats in Santa's Realm. Just the thing to get me into the holiday mood!
