My hottest social media take is that the reason the majority of people leaving Twitter came to Bluesky instead of Mastodon is that they actually wanted a centralized service instead of a distributed one, and have basically gotten what they wanted.

Its saving grace is that all the horrors are accidental, and it's made by somewhat kind and thoughtful people who go "Woah, this... this is bad" and pivot for the finale.

I feel 'Total Forgiveness' is a fantastic example of why Reality TV™ shouldn't be anything close to reality, for the safety of everyone involved, and also why Gameshows that dangle life-changing amounts of money in front of contestants are borderline unethical at the very best of times.

Balance on a creature is potentially interesting, because it requires you to have more of a board than a traditional balance wants you to. Put it at a highish mv and it’s difficult to use it as land destruction too.

I still don’t think it made it to print, but I’d bet money they tested it.

While I cannot (yet) claim to have read every book @seananmcguire.bsky.social has written, but Omen of Chaos is the most Seanan McGuire book I've ever read.
It has weird pets, traumatic upbringings, lying to authorities, a masquerade ball and a mermaid.
It's beautiful and perfect.
