According to an email from yesterday that I didn't read until just now... Yesterday was Iggy Pop's 79th birthday.
So, here's "Candy" with Iggy accompanied by Kate Pierson of the B-52's.

A small green frog on a deck covered with indoor/outdoor carpet.
Little guy stopped by to investigate our porch last night.
My wife grew up on a lake, and she's been loving leaving the window open while she goes to sleep and hearing the frogs. Because we've got the greenbelt right behind us and the wetlands and the creek across the way, little suckers are LOUD.
I do not believe so.
That being said, this is a dipshit move. My boat was once damm near sidelined by a flu-like that swept through the crew.
That was not fun.
Serious illnesses and nuclear submarines are not a tasty mix.
Always wanted to build one... Never had the chance.
OTOH, that would have locked me into 726's and out of the 41FF, which I would not have enjoyed.
On your walk... beware the onion ninjas.
Oh, it's easy to screw up something seemingly simple. I'm not looking forward to taking the cover boards (bookbinding) I glued up this morning out of the press tomorrow... It's been about ten years since I've glued up a set, and let's just say this morning was a (re)learning experience.
Those can do wonders for certain dishes without coming anywhere near causing pain.
Garlic is, among all sensible peoples, a food group.
That which cannot be improved with garlic or cinnamon often benefits from judicious application of cayenne or chipotle.
Garlic is, among all sensible peoples, a food group.
And amine, and diesel fuel... I have poopy suits (underway uniforms) that *still* smell faintly of submarine after nearly forty years.
But the food was darn good.
I keep getting tempted by film... I've got a couple of film cameras still sitting around too.
Well, I trimmed my phrasing of that to save some length... But hard agree.
But it's an ill wind that blows no good... A friend started up a weekly game of Anime Music Quiz with voice chat, and that helped a lot. And it became a tradition that continues post lockdown. Still a major part of my social calendar.
Same here... I'm a very social dude, and *poof*, it was all gone.
Lot of fellow submarine veterans compared it positively to being underway on patrol, and I was like No Feckin' Way. Patrol was, for various reasons, actually easier than being on lockdown.
Well, Malta is getting a few extra tourist dollars, so *something* good came out of that train wreck.
I first read that as Eupho...
I get that urge... Sometimes I want to hijack my anime blog and use it for some of my other interests.
Not that anyone reads blogs any more.
True Peak Disco... All beat and no substance.
Growing up in the South, when I was looking for a BBQ place, I learned to look for working trucks. Even if they were new(er), it was usually pretty easy to spot them.
I have done sufficient historical re-creation that I have precisely zero interest in living in the past.
Brief forays, sure. I'd love to see the original lineup of Devo in their prime, or catch Roy Orbison in concert... But no way I'd want to stay there.
Also true of BBQ restaurants in the South. As a general rule, the more rundown or mundane looking the joint - the better the food. Fancy Dan place? Steer clear unless otherwise advised by locals. Kinda beat up place just outside town or off the beaten path? Come hungry.
300 baud should be enough for anyone! /s /s
And people are making KSP jokes in the comments...
Given the American/Military drive to make everything Bigger, Better, Boomier... Do you really need a specific thing to tie it to?
Anything, *ANYTHING*, that makes Yorimoi more accessible is an unmitigated and unquestionable Good Thing.
I have often said, if Yorimoi ever makes it to a major streaming service... Half my FB friends are going to end up unfriending me because I will *never* shut talking about it.
My Hero Academia could have fun with this one... The mangaka was weirdly capable of weaponizing the oddest Quirks.
